St. Gerald Parish Mission Statement: Led by the Holy Spirit, we are a Catholic community of faith whose pri-mary purpose is to know Jesus, to love Him, and to serve Him in serving others. Sent to make disciples, we invite and welcome everyone to come and share our Master’s joy.
Are you interested in the Catholic Faith and deepening your relationship with Jesus Christ or do you know of someone who is? RCIA means The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults. Our parish RCIA will begin in August and is available for non-Catholics as well as for Catholics
who would like to grower deeper in the Faith. Most people who be-come Catholics do so because of the influence, good example, and en-couragement of a spouse, fiancée, or friend. Also this year, the parish Alpha program will be a part of the RCIA! If you know of someone who would be interested in our Catholic faith, encourage them to come to RCIA. To learn more, please visit the parish website (www.stgerald.org/rcia) and complete the online Adult Inquirer Form or contact the business office at 402-331-1955 or email [email protected]. You may also fill out the form below and drop it in the collection basket. We will send you an Adult Inquirer Information Form to complete and return. We need help with cleaning the parish office
We are one body, many parts! Do you
have a gift of service or know someone
who does? Specifically, we are in need of
someone to clean the parish office. This
would include dusting, vacuuming, bath-
rooms, trash removal, etc. Cleaning
would require 2-3 hours per week and
would need to be scheduled for evenings/
weekends when the office is closed. This is also a paid service at $15/
hour. If the Lord is calling you, please contact the parish office at 402-
331-1955.
St. Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle. Be our defense
against the wickedness and snares of
the Devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly
pray, and do thou, O Prince of the
heavenly hosts,
by the power of God, thrust into hell
Satan, and all the evil spirits, who
prowl about the world
seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

July 12, 2020 6 Welcome to St. Gerald Parish
Jesus abandoned Himself completely to His Father’s will. Don Dolindo’s Surren-
der Novena (a nine day novena) gives us a way to follow Jesus in His total aban-
donment, and to let Him “take care of everything.” This is so important because it
recognizes that God is not bound by our human limitations, and we should not try
to bind God to those limitations but rather recognize that He is boundless and all
powerful and He makes all things work together for our good.
