CONTINUING EDUCATION:

Co-Course organizer and leader (with R. Kuznar, Westinghouse) for the University of Pennsylvania/ASME Continuing Education Studies Course, "Modern Developments in Heat Exchanger Design and Applications", Fall semester, 1976.

PROGRAMS:

Developed the department graduate option in nuclear power engineering and was its coordinator for four years.

Coordinator of departmental committee to establish an M.S.  thesis requirement and procedures, which then went into effect in 1981.

Proposed and developed the new courses EAS 401 and EAS 501: ENERGY AND ITS IMPACTS: TECHNOLOGY, ECOLOGY, ECONOMICS, SUSTAINABILITY.tailored to students from all of Penn, with special appeal to students from Wharton MBA, School of Design, and the Institute for Environmental Science. Teaching the course since Fall term 2006.

Proposed, and developed the new course EAS 402 and EAS 502: RENEWABLE ENERGY AND ITS IMPACTS: TECHNOLOGY, ECOLOGY, ECONOMICS, SUSTAINABILITY, tailored to students from all of Penn, with special appeal to students from Wharton MBA, School of Design, and the Institute for Environmental Science. Teaching the course from Spring term 2009.
