Bradley’s Challenge Bradley’s House of Hope was founded in 2005 as a place to provide physical therapy for children in the Managua, Nicaragua area. Nicaragua is the second poorest country in the western hemisphere and there is a tremendous need to provide help for the special needs children who live there. Currently, there are over 70 children receiving much needed therapy at Bradley’s House. We are attempting to raise money to expand the equestrian therapy program, and are looking for sponsors. The children who participate in the equestrian therapy program light up like a Christmas tree when around the horses, and the joy they feel is beyond description! We are attempting to raise funds by doing a weight loss challenge. We currently have 16 people who have committed to losing weight (the individual weight goals vary) and are looking for sponsors. If you would like to sponsor an individual, just pledge a

Sunday School Teachers "A single Sunday School lesson may seem a very small thing, but it is a mustard seed that can grow into a tree—a lovely and beneficial tree through every life that learns these lessons and applies them through faith to life." There are open places for teachers in 2/3 Grade, Club 5/4, and Jr. High. Please contact Penny Hoekstra, Marilee Lake, or the church office if you are interested.

2ND & 3RD Grade Sunday School Class News

We are celebrating 44 Bible verses memorized by Hannah Robinson. Her classmates totaled 27. We rejoice in God’s promise and the reason for us all to memorize… “I keep Your Word close in my heart, so that I won’t sin against You.” Psalm 119:11. May His Word lead each of us and our children!

Lay Readers The Lay Reader program is looking to expand by having youth and college age students read Scripture during our services. If you are interested, please, contact Susan Furlong at 667-6607 or [email protected]. We will hold a one hour workshop on why we read Scripture and ways to convey that message to the congregation. Then you will be scheduled to read every 3-4 months.

UMW Mission Moment Miracles continue to happen at the Shepherd Society - miracles of feeding the hungry, miracles of healing the sick and miracles of fixing broken hearts and bringing comfort to hurting individuals and families in both Bethlehem and Gaza. Our job creation program is building confidence and self-reliance in families that previously were not able to take care of their needs. Volunteers in Mission and medical teams came and served with local physicians and touched the lives of many individuals. The

needy in Bethlehem are thankful, and they praise our wonderful God and savior. Alex and Brenda Awad, missionaries, General Board of Global Ministries, Palestine
