Many people think that technology refers only to machines such as computers, TV, videos, and the like. All these form part of technology but Educational Technology is all these and more! Technology is not just machines.Educational Technology refers to how people use their inventions and discoveries to satisfy their educational needs and desires ,i.e. learning.

Introduction

Educational Technology is the effective use of technological tools in learning. As a concept, it concerns an array of tools, such as media, machines and networking hardware, as well as considering underlying theoretical perspectives for their effective application.

It refers to a technology that is particularly suited for education plus its usage/range of applications.

Educational Technology-can be considered either as a design science or as a collection of different research interests addressing fundamental issues of learning, teaching and social organization.

TECHNOLOGY-aims to improve education. Technology should facilitate learning process and increase performance of the educational system(s) as it regards to effectiveness and/or efficiency.

Educational Technology-is the use of technology to improve education. It is a systematic, interactive process for designing instruction or training used to improve performance.

-emphasizes communication skills and approaches to teaching and learning through the judicious use and integration of diverse media.

Educational Technology

EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY is taught in school for the learners to come up easily in the modern world. In this subject, the students can learn how they can use technology to have a better learning. It is one of the best way to integrate learning and information to ourselves.

TECHNOLOGY IN EDUCATION It is the application of technology to any of those processes involved in operating the institutions which house the educational enterprise. It includes the use of audiovisual equipment which is referred to the hardware aspect of the educational technology.

Technology Integration

It is the use of technologies to introduce, reinforce supplement and extent skills. The quality of instruction is improved into a high level. It also provides opportunities to instructional issues/problem.

Education Technology 1 is the introduction of technology tools in education. W already lived in new generation or in the 20th century in which technology is already part of our daily lives. Because of technologies it makes our works easier and faster. Through this we are aware of the strategies or the tools which can be used in our profession.Through EdTech 1 we can appreciate, used and equipped our learning in technologies to become aspiring individual especially as a teacher.

There are many reasons why EdTech is being taught in school. One of that reason is to guide students to have a better learning with regards to technologies. Because of EdTech the students are aware on what is the use and how to use the appropriate instructional media in relation to education/teaching.

Educational Technology 2 will involve a deeper understanding of the computer a well as hands-on application of computer skills.

In EDTech 2 we can integrate our learning in Edtech 1 to have a strong foundation in learning technologies. Nowadays, almost all the teachers used computers/technologies in their daily lives especially in engaging students to the real world situation. And through this we can easily communicate to one another.

Today, the students are called the 21st century or the Generation Y learners. When we say 21st century learners the students are living in a modern world who are using and encountered technology in their everyday life. They are individuals that can use technologies in good way to have a better learning. And they are individuals in which they belong to the world of TECHNOLGY.

Technology contributes much to improvement of the teaching-learning process and to the humanization of life. Technology is made for man and not man for technology, Technology is made for the teacher and not the teacher for technology. This means that technology is mean to serve man in all aspects of life including instruction. It is a man and in the context of the classroom, the teacher, who determines how technology ought to be used in order to reap the maximum benefits that along with technology.
