You will be volunteered to be on one of 13 student CFA assessment teams for one course in two years. You will be assisted by a 2nd year Medical student who was in the CFA program in the spring of 2009. You will also be guided by a faculty Group Advisor, as well as the Course Director.

This is an opportunity to speak out in a professional manner to help improve the lectures, faculty, and the curriculum at NYCOM.

Each lecture everyday your entire team will take notes on the presentation, lecture,
discussion and whether it follows suggested guidelines. You will also be evaluating the
instructor for the class. This includes all labs, Anatomy, ICC, DPR, and OMM.

I was involved in the CFA plan pilot and that experience helped
me greatly in my 3rd year rotation.

In our weekly CFA meeting we discussed different lectures and
presentations round robin-style. This process came in handy later on in my
residency.
