From the beginning, mission workers showed compassion for the poor. They opened schools, hospitals and relief centers. The poor and oppressed heard the gospel and now they believe Christ included them in his inaugural statement (Luke 4:18). With a new sense of urgency millions of long-deprived people have come to believe that the earth holds sufficient resources to meet the needs of all if they are fairly used and distributed

Conflict, disease, and other factorsare depleting the ranks of dedicatedand qualified teachers in Africa.

Children are forced to abandonstudies and to assume adult roles, including the roles of parents andsoldiers. Education plays anessential role in the formation ofmoral conscience, responsibleparticipation in democraticprocesses, promotion of the commongood, and development of a holisticunderstanding of human relationships.

We should energetically support theefforts of other groups in civil society, inpromoting universal access to qualityeducation so that the hopes andopportunities of Africa's youth might berealized.

With this in mind, the Educational Mission of Ghana’s children through Future Scholars of the World, Inc. is to provide the children of the Oshiyie School in Ghana with tuition, school supplies, clothing and medical supplies to accomplish the stated mission.

In helping others, we help ourselves, for whatever good we give out completes the circle and comes back to us.

We were so moved by the fact these children had so little yet were so hungry for an education that we decided to adopt the school and provide them with the means necessary to obtain an education.
