New parishioners: We welcome all new members to our parish community. Please register in the parish office. Also, if there is a change in address, please notify us.
Sacrament of Reconciliation: Saturdays 11am -12pm (or by appointment).
Catechesis/Religious Education: Classes are held Satur-day mornings during the school year. Registrations for children are accepted until the beginning of September. Call the Director of Religious Education at the rectory (ext. 31) for more information.
Baptisms: The family must be registered in the parish. To register to have your child baptized, bring the birth certificate and $50 donation to the parish office. Baptisms are celebrated in English on the First Sunday of the month at 1:30pm. There are no baptisms during the sea-son of Lent.
Marriages: Arrangements must be made at least six months before the wedding date. No marriages are celebrated on Sundays. Call a priest in the rectory for arrangements.
Cotillions/Quinceañeras: The family must be registered in the parish for at least three months. The young lady must have received the sacraments of Baptism, Communion and Confirmation. Parents and young lady need to attend a retreat.
Adult Sacramental Formation: For information on classes for adults who want to become Catholic or to complete your sacraments, please call the parish office.
Presentations: Celebrated the Second Sunday of the month during the Masses. Only for 3-year-olds who are baptized and for 40 day newborn blessing. Call the par-ish office to register.
Wedding Anniversary Blessings: The Third Sunday of the month during Mass.
Seriously Ill and Homebound: You may request anointing of the sick & pastoral visits by contacting the parish of-fice.
St. Vincent de Paul Society: We have a food pantry on various Thursdays. Call the rectory office for dates.
Charismatic Prayer Group: Meets on Wednesdays in the Church at 7pm. All are welcome.

Quinceañeras: La familia debe de estar registrada desde tres meses antes. La joven tiene que tener su Bautismo, Comunión y Confirmación. Los padres y la joven tienen que asistir a un retiro.
Formación para Adultos que Necesitan Sus Sacramentos: Para la información sobre las clases para los adultos que desean hacerse católico o completar sus sacramentos, lla-me a la oficina parroquial.
Presentaciones: Son celebradas durante las misas el segundo Domingo de cada mes. Solamente para los que cumplen 3 años y son bautizados o bendiciones de 40 días para recién nacidos. Llame a la oficina parroquial para registrarse.
Bendiciones de los Aniversarios de Matrimonio: El Ter-cer Domingo de cada mes durante la Misa.

"Resurrectio Domini, spes nostra – the Resurrection of the Lord is our hope"— (St. Augustine, Sermon 261:1).
Sisters and Brothers, The Lord is risen! Alleluia Alleluia! A word that describes Easter 2018 for me is “resilience.” We have seen and observed so far this year a spirit of resiliency through people’s responses to injustices being done in the name of the economy, entitlement, freedom and safety. The media communicates to us what is newsworthy to report. Tax breaks to the wealthy while the poor are struggling with their financial obligations, people in positions of power have taken advantage of those without, the purchase and use of weap-ons on the streets that threaten our security, young immigrants whose future is in jeopardy, to name a few have dampened our spirits. Yet, we see signs that say, “enough is enough,” “#MeToo,” “no more guns,” “I stand with dreamers” etc. These responses are acts of resiliency. God has implanted in us the capacity to stand against injustices, to walk with each other, and to offer hope when we feel desperate and helpless. In the face of desperation when Jesus was arrested, tried and crucified, the apostles were confused and had that same human tendency toward desperation and confusion. After the Resurrection they became resilient in the face of fear and even danger. Once Jesus empowered them they were able to face adversity no matter what form it came in because they were enlivened by the Spirit of the Risen Christ who accompanied them in all their endeavors and gave them power to speak and act. The lesson for us from the Easter message is that there is nothing more powerful and life-giving than the promise of eternal life. We are resilient as disciples of the Risen Lord who accompanies us on our journey toward the Father. May the peace of the Risen Christ permeate your hearts and your homes! Fr. Tony
Hermanas y Hermanos, ¡El Señor ha resucitado! ¡Aleluya, Aleluya! Una palabra que para mi describe esta Pascua 2018 es "fortaleza". Durante este año, hemos visto y observado en las personas, un espíritu de fortaleza a las injusticias que se están haciendo en nombre de la economía, el derecho, la libertad y la seguridad. Los medios de comunicación están reportando solo lo que juzgan más importante. Acciones como exenciones de impuestos a los ricos, mientras los pobres se encuentran en apuros con sus obligaciones financieras, personas que se encuentran en posi-ción de poder se están aprovechando de los necesitados, la compra y uso de armas en las calles que amenazan nuestra seguri-dad, los jóvenes inmigrantes cuyo futuro está en peligro; nos han desanimado nuestros espíritus. Vemos letreros que dicen “enough is enough” (¡Basta!), “#MeToo” (#YoTambién), “no more guns” (no más armas), “I stand with Dreamers” (Estoy con los ‘Dreamers’) etc. Estas reacciones son actos de fortaleza. Dios ha implementado en nosotros la capacidad de luchar contra a las injusticias, de caminar juntos, y de ofrecer esperanza cuando nos sentimos desesperados y desamparados. Ante la desesperación de ver que Jesús fue arrestado, condenado y crucificado, los apóstoles se sentían confundidos y tuvieron la misma inclinación humana hacia la desesperación y la confusión. Después de la Resurrección, ellos tuvieron fortaleza ante el miedo y el peligro. Una vez que Jesús los fortaleció, los discípulos pudieron afrontar cualquier tipo de adversidad porque ellos estaban avivados por el Espíritu de Cristo Resucitado quien les acompañaba en todos sus esfuerzos y les dio el poder pa-ra hablar y actuar. La lección que el mensaje de Pascua nos da es que no hay nada mas poderoso y vivificador que la promesa de la vida eterna. Nosotros, como los discípulos del Señor Resucitado, también tenemos la misma fortaleza que nos acompaña en nuestro cami-nar hacia el Padre. ¡Que la paz de Cristo resucitado permanezca en sus corazones y sus hogares! Estimados hermanas y hermanos en el Señor Jesús Resucitado,
Las noticias de hoy en día parecieran estar dominadas por fuerzas que lidian con la muerte y con posibilidades clausuradas. Este año pasado nos ha traído una plaga de violencia con armas, corrientes de refugiados inde-fensos en diferentes partes del mundo, luchas en nues-tro propio país en torno a asuntos de inmigración y ra-cismo, innumerables víctimas de desastres naturales y grandes números de personas que son —en palabras del Papa Francisco— “desechadas”. Pareciera que hay poco espacio para la esperanza y el optimismo.
Sin embargo, sabemos por nuestra propia experiencia como creyentes y nuestros lazos comunes de fe, que esta no es la historia completa de la realidad. Hay, de hecho, otras noticias, las buenas noticias de nuestra fe de Pascua. Cristo ha conquistado toda muerte y todo mal. ¡Cristo ha resucitado!
Cuando profesamos nuestra fe en el Señor resucitado no negamos el dolor y sufrimiento que ocurre en nuestro mundo. El Cristo resucitado mismo lleva las heridas de su sufrimiento, pero ha resucitado. Ha conquistado el pecado y la muerte, y nuestra victoria es cierta. Tene-mos una gran esperanza en él, que nos lleva hacia ade-lante. Pero, no termina allí, porque como nos dice San Pablo, todo lo que celebramos estos días ha tenido lu-gar para que nosotros “ya no vivamos para nosotros mismos, sino para él que por nosotros murió y fue resu-citado”.
En la Arquidiócesis de Chicago, nuestro compromiso con Renueva mi Iglesia significa que tomamos nuestra fe de Pascua en serio, al punto que se convierte en fuente de nueva energía para comunidades e individuos que comparten nuestra fe con el mundo y trae una es-peranza que el mundo no puede quitar.
Que nuestra fe en el Señor Resucitado esté viva en nuestros corazones y que compartamos ese don amplia y generosamente con otros.

Dear Sisters and Brothers in the Risen Lord Jesus,
The news today seems to be dominated by death-dealing forces and foreclosed possibilities. This past year has brought us a plague of gun-violence, streams of helpless refugees in different parts of the world, struggles in our own nation around questions of immigration and racism, countless victims of natu-ral disasters, and large numbers of people who are—in the words of Pope Francis— “discarded.” There seems to be scant room for hope
and optimism.
Yet, we know by our own experience as believers and our common bonds of faith that this is not the full story of reality. There, indeed, is other news, the good news of our Easter faith. Christ has conquered all death and evil. Christ is risen!
When we profess our faith in the risen Lord, we do not deny the pain and suffering at work in our world. The risen Christ himself bears his wounds of his suf-fering, but he is risen. He has conquered sin and death, and our victory is certain. We hold a great hope in him who leads forward. But, it does not end there, for as St. Paul tells us, all of that we celebrate in these days has taken place so that we “might live no longer for ourselves but for him who died for our sakes and was raised.”
In the Archdiocese of Chicago, our commitment to Renew My Church means that we take our Easter faith seriously to the point that it becomes the source of new energy for communities and individuals who share our faith with the world and bring it hope the world cannot take away.
May our faith in the Risen Lord be alive in our hearts, and may we share that gift widely and generously with others.
