The PBS delegation headed by Vice President Bp. Jonel Milan and General
Secretary Dr. Nora Lucero presented said Bibles to PNP Chief Gen.
Nicanor Bartolome.
The New Testament Bibles are part of the 20,000 copies donated for the
PNP's values formation program. Also present during the celebration were
presidential‟s sister and guest of honor Ms. Ballsy Aquino-Cruz, and Con-
gressman Manny Pacquiao who shared the gospel during the event.

UNITED FOR THE BIBLE CAUSE Philippine Bible Society conducted its Member‟s Orientation last August 17 with 78 attendees, others coming from as far
as Baguio. Even after the „Habagat‟ disaster, our ardent members joined us in a lively and meaningful afternoon fellow-
ship together with some PBS staff. Discussion during the Member‟s Orientation includes a deeper understanding of the
heart of the Bible Ministry and how a member could help in fulfilling PBS‟s mission and vision. To further introduce
new members to the PBS family; promotion of our on-going and upcoming projects such as the Handwritten Unity Bible,
Bible Run, and Friends of the Bible were also discussed. With the support of our Marketing Team, we also gave a short
and concise knowledge on choosing the right Bible version they prefer and understand. Key highlight on this 1st Mem-
ber‟s Orientation 2012 is the Oath taking of our new members led by our General Secretary, Dr. Nora Lucero.
We give praise to our
Almighty God for the
life of these individu-
als who willingly
poured out their com-
mitment in Philippine
Bible Society’s minis-

ing part in reaching
out our nation to pro-

The Inter-Church Consultative and Advisory Group (ICCAG) convened
once again last August 15. Volunteers and Representatives from different
churches and organizations attended the meeting to be a part of the Na-
tional Bible Week 2013 corps. These groups unite as one though coming
from different sectors and affiliations, all seeking to widen and expand the
impact of Bible ministry in our country through our annual celebration of
the Word of God. With next year‟s theme “Proclaim the Word, Profess the
Faith”, Bible believers from , these various groups discussed and deliber-
ated activities and upcoming events for the National Bible Week 2013.
This includes the much-awaited meaningful, ecumenical and historical run
in the country - the Bible Run 2013, on January 19, 2013 at the Quirino
Grandstand - seeking to bring together at least 10,000 individuals to run
for the Bible cause. This event serves as our kick-off celebration for the
National Bible Week which will run from January 21 to 25, 2013 and Na-

The Principal Solution
Educators play a crucial role in molding young minds to become good citizens. This is the
firm belief of Davao del Sur private school principal Sis Florifes Bejod that spurred her to
take steps in influencing the values system of her faculty and staff. Acknowledging that
the Bible sets the time-honored guidelines for righteous and successful living, Sr. Florifes
organized regular Bible studies in her school, with the help of a team of May They Be One
staff. The Bible studies employed a “listen-read-share method “ where the participants
silently read Scripture passages from the May They Be One Bible while simultaneously
listening to the same passage being dramatized in an audio Bible called the Proclaimer
(distributed by the Faith Comes By Hearing apostolate). Afterwards, the participants share
their insights about the passages. The Bible study program is also being cascaded down by
chosen facilitators to the different school levels and sections with the goal that the faculty,
staff and students will have a good foundation based on God‟s Word.
If you obey the Lord your God and faithfully keep all His commands that I am giving
you today, He will make you greater than any other nation on earth. Deuteronomy 28:1

May They Be One Bible Campaign, is a seven
