ADORATION ADORACIÓN
Thursday / Jueves 9AM to 6PM
Our season of Easter comes to an end with the great and glorious birthday celebration of our Catholic Church on this Feast of Pente-cost. It is on this day, when the fire of the Ho-ly Spirit descended upon the Apostles and disciples in the upper room, where the birth of the true mission of our Catholic Church is
found. Matthew Kelly in this book Resisting Happiness we received last Christmas writes about this in Chapter 33 “Made for Mission.” You may wish to reread this again.
The Church, just like each individual member of the Body of Christ (the Church) is called to a mission. Our Holy Father Francis reminds us contin-ually this mission is one of joy and community where we build up and bring together rather tan tear down and separate. It is the message of our Lord Jesus to each one of us.
We should ponder this mission enlivened by the fire of the Holy Spirit. In calling forth the teaching of the Church, Matthew Kelly writes, “You were made for mission. It’s time to let your light shine.” (Continued page 2...)
Tal vez quiera volver a leerlo.

Y luego vayan con amor a servir a nuestro Señor.
Que Dios Los Bendiga, El Padre Mark

• Key Point: You cannot be happy focused on yourself. You were made for mission. It’s deep within you. Only by serving others in a meaning-ful way do we truly discover the happiness we yearn for so unrelentingly.
• Action Step: What mission do you think God is calling you to now in your life? Don’t get caught up in what he might have calling you to in the past, or what he might call to you in the future. Just write down his invitation to you today as you can best discern it. “ (p 173)
And then go forth to love and serve our Lord.
God Bless, Fr. Mark

VACATION BIBLE CAMP 2017/CAMPAMENTO DE BIBLIA 2017
This year the Vacation Bible Camp “Make Fun Factory” will engage your children through creative and fun activities that will lead them to discov-er that they’re lovingly crafted by God –the ultimate Maker– and built for a purpose!
Like gears in a machine, every part of Maker Fun Factory works together to produce an experience that really connects kids with Jesus. Kids learn one important Bible point each day, and it’s reinforced often through Bi-ble adventures, key Bible verses, songs, snacks, and hands-on explora-tions that change kid’s lives forever!
Maker Fun Factory is for 3 years old (potty trained) to entering 5th grade children. Vacation Bible Camp this year is from June 26th to June 30th. Registration is $100 per camper. Dis-count available for parent volunteers. Also, we have teenager volunteer opportunities.
Visit St. Lucy’s website to register online or register in the parish office.
