Australian Lunar Series II2015 Year of the Goat Gold Proof Coins

Featuring the eighth animal in the 12-year cycle of the Chinese zodiac, the inquisitivegoat, these magnificent gold coins are available individually in a 1oz, a 1/4oz, and a1/10oz size, and in a three-coin set.

Meticulously struck from 99.99% pure gold in proof quality, each coin is issued aslegal tender under the Australian . The obverse of each coindepicts the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the 2015year-date and monetary denomination.

Celebrating the auspicious goat, each coin’s reverse features an adult malegoat standing on a ridge in a stylised mountain scene. The Chinese characterfor ‘goat’ and the inscription ‘Year of the Goat’ also appear in the design withThe Perth Mint’s traditional ‘P’ mintmark.

No more than 3,000 individual 1oz coins from a maximum mintage of 6,000will be released, while only 5,000 individual 1/4oz coins and 4,000 individual1/10oz coins will be released from their maximum mintages of 8,000 coins.Only 1,500 three-coin sets will be available for sale, worldwide.

Each coin and three-coin set is presented in a stylish black and timber-inspireddisplay case, accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.

Australian Lunar Series II2015 Year of the Goat Silver Proof Coins

The new Year of the Goat design captures the intelligence of the eighth animalin the 12-year cycle of the Chinese zodiac. Struck from 99.9% pure silver inproof quality the coin is available individually in a kilo, a 1oz, and a 1/2oz size,and in a three-coin set.

The eighth animal in the ancient Chinese zodiac, the goat, is believed toinfluence the personalities of those born in 1919, 1931, 1955, 1967, 1979,1991, 2003 and 2015. People born in these years are said to be elegant,charming, artistic, gifted and calm.

The reverse of each Australian legal tender coin depicts a family of three goatsstanding in a stylised rural scene. The Chinese character for ‘goat’ and theinscription ‘Year of the Goat’ also appear in the design with The Perth Mint’straditional ‘P’ mintmark.

No more than 500 kilo coins will be released worldwide. An issue limit of 5,0001oz coins and 8,000 1/2oz coins will be released from their maximum mintagesof 8,500 and 9,000 respectively.

Only 1,000 three-coin sets, comprising a 1oz, a 1/2oz and a 2oz coin, which hasa maximum mintage of 2,000 coins, will be issued.

Each coin and three-coin set is housed in a stylish red and black presentationcase and themed shipper, with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
