TitleA Study on Retailers perception regarding products of Khanna Paper Mill

Objectives

LimitationsThe Sample Size is small as it is confined to a limited area. Since this is an opinion survey, personal bias may also have crept in.

Literature Reviewy Williams(2010) in his article Paper ,Grain and

Printing Matters revealed that in the paper industry one of the most important factor is the direction of the grain. Items such as business cards, postcards, posters, letterheads, sticker are printed in the long grain. Labels, cd/dvd covers, pocket folders use the paper with the short grains as it facilitates the folding process.

Results and Findings1. Some of the respondents were not known about the recycling process of the Khanna Paper Mills, so there is a need to make them aware. 2. People prefer Bilt the most as when writing paper is considered. 3. Khanna is the most preferred brand as when copier is considered due to its economical price.

4. When Duplex board is considered Khanna is the most preferred brand followed by ITC. 5. Retailers believe that price of the Khannas Product is as per the quality expected. 6. Retailers believe that the whiteness of the product should be increased but it cannot exceed more than 85%, due to recycling process.

SUGGESTIONS1. Enzyme application in paper making process can be done.

1. Pulp Mill waste could be turned into fuel.

3. The company is facing a tough competition from the Bilt and Abhishek Industries so should make the serious efforts to handle it. 4. The KPM is a renowned name in the copier and the board segment even than it should go on making the strategies in order to maintain it.

Conclusion1. It is not known to everyone that the Khanna is a complete recycle based firm due to which it can not provide the 100% whiteness level. 2. As far as the writing and printing paper is concerned the bilt is most preferred and it also faces competition from the players as ABC and Abhishek Industries. 3. In the Copier segment the Khanna was the most preferred brand. It is most commonly used by the Photostats and office stationary and faces competition from the Abhishek Industries. 4. When we take the Board, it is another most preferred product of Khanna in the market .It faces competition from the ITC but due to less price it is more preferred.

5. The price of the KPM product is reasonable and satisfactory and customer do not find any change require in it. 6. The customer expect the KPM to increase the whiteness level of the products and they also wish the KPM to provide the certain discounts in the case.
