There is a TEAM silently work on pooling the data, updates, reports, photos, feedbacks, quotes, donations etc., for a 30 days period every time. Then the Volunteers sit for designing the news update during night times post their office hours. This would go on for at least 5 days... 30 man hours! BHEL GIVES AWAY SCHOLARSHIP

STUDENTSBHEL, under the aegis of Corporate Social Responsibility, every year provides financial assistance to different sections of the society, especially the weaker sections of the society.

As a part of this, the scholarship was given to the differently-abled students of ITI and Polytechnic to pursue higher studies. In a programme held at Jawaharlal Nehru School BHEL, Bhopal Aruna Yugandhar, President BHEL Ladies Club presented scholarship cheque of `20,000 each to the 69 deserving disabled students for the year 2015-16.

Yugandhar in her address said that it is our responsibility to bring the weaker sections of the society to the mainstream society.She further said that as a result of scholarship given to the economically weak students, the students have been able to acquire a special status in the society.

JSPL wins India CSR Award

for Best CSR PracticeJindal Steel & Power Ltd (JSPL) has bagged IndiaCSR Award for Best CSR Practices for its Water Conservation and Watershed Development activities in Angul district of Odisha. Chief Sustainability Officer of JSPL

Grpup Ms. Miniya Chatterji received the award from Director of BIMTECH Dr. Harivansh Chaturvedi, in the presence of Chief Programme Executive-CSR of Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs Mr. Mukesh Kumar, Editor of IndiaCSR.in Mr. Rusen Kumar and several other dignitaries.

JSPL has been selected in an all India competition, on the basis of a case study submitted for the award. The Case Study was 'meticulously reviewed' by jury and was selected for the award. “Watershed programme has been one of major focused intervention by JSPL for enhancing the farmers' lives and livelihood on a sustainable basis. Such national recognition will further strengthen effort for enhancing quality lives in Angul,” said Executive Director & Location Head of JSPL's Angul Unit Mr. DK Saraogi. He also thanked IndiaCSR team and esteemed jury for the award.

JSPL, in partnership with NABARD and local community, is implementing two micro watershed management projects in Banarpal Block of Angul District. These two projects cover five villages and will benefit about 2000 households for raising agricultural production and productivity on a sustainable basis. Farmers are preferring cash crops, like vegetable oilseeds and pulses to paddy. Under SRI practices the small farmers are harvesting three times of their normal yield of paddy. More than 5000 horticulture and forest trees have ebeen planted and about 4000 soil conservation structures have been created in the watershed area. Total geographical areas of 3450 acres are being treated under the project from ridge to valley, based on net planning. JSPL had signed a MoU with NABARD for implementation of the watershed project in 2013.

Employees are passionate about supporting the community and causes close to their hearts through fundraising efforts and volunteering.

We realized that for change to be sustainable, it cannot be achieved single-handedly. It requires collaboration. Our model of working with communities and citizen groups has helped us stay on track. At Tesco Bengaluru, we undertook a unique month long campaign called 'CSR Month'. Through this we looked to break some myths and make 'volunteering fun, fulfilling, and for everyone'.

This was done by facilitating a range of volunteering/giving opportunities like planting trees, painting schools, scribing for differently-abled, organising sports day at schools, pledging eyes, and cooking, dancing and singing to raise funds, there was something for everyone. We also engaged colleagues through interesting modes like flash mobs, hand-painting and a community pledge wall, contests to create art from waste and a fun carnival.

Honda rolls out 4 mega CSR projects in and around Vithalapur,

GujaratAfter accelerating economic development in the Ahmedabad district with the establishment of its Fourth plant; Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. (HMSI) has today started the next wave of social development. The company announced the roll-out of four new ambitious CSR projects that it will under-take in and around Vithalapur area of Gujarat.

Beyond business, Honda's CSR approach in Gujarat focuses on last mile healthcare access, rural development & infrastructure, education and environment conservation.

As a responsible corporate, Honda is establishing water treatment projects with RO technology in 15 villages in and around its Vithalapur plant. This project is expected to provide clean and safe drinking water free of cost to over 35,000 local residents.

Honda is reaching out to 24 villages in and around Mandal taluk with its Mobile Medicare Units (MMUs) in association with an NGO HelpAge India. Here a medical team of one MBBS doctor, one social protection officer, one pharmacist, one driver cum community facilitator will make basic essential healthcare facilities more accessible and affordable to senior citizens, financially weak families and population in remote areas.

Honda is also assisting local Gujarat population with 500 financially assisted cataract operations at reputed hospitals by March'16. Additionally, Honda 2Wheelers is conducting 33 essential medical tests free of cost. Already, Honda has brought healthcare closer to doorstep of 3,000 villagers and plans to reach out to over 10,000 people by March'16.

Honda 2Wheelers has also launched Harit Udaan – a rural livelihood support community tree plantation program in collaboration with SankalpTaru Foundation. Starting from Vithalapur, Honda aims to plant 10,000 fruit bearing trees in 7 villages of Gujarat. In the program, farmer families will be equipped with latest organic and integrated farming techniques. Soil & water testing of rural farmers' lands will also be done. Project 'Harit Udaan' will create a self-sustainable & empowered ecosystem wherein community members are engaged in growing and nurturing fruit bearing trees in the long term.

Honda is supporting Khel Mahakumbh – the state level competition by Government of Gujarat. Here every district has sent two teams (Male & Female) for the volley ball tournament adding to a total of 2064 participants from 172 teams. Honda extended its support in term of track suits to Top 3 teams (Winner, Runner up (First) & Runners Up (Second)) in both the male and female category & Trophies to team & Medals for Individuals.

Sambalpur farmers under CSR

Mahanadi Coalfields (MCL) has extended a helping hand towards 61 under-privileged farmers in Odisha's Sambalpur, raising the total number of peasants sponsored by it to 378 in the district, to enable them water their crop timely and reap a good harvest.

MCL, a leading coal mining CPSU and a subsidiary of Coal India Ltd, has sponsored 61 more below poverty line (BPL) SC and ST farmers of Bamra, Jamankira and Kuchinda blocks of Sambalpur to avail Deep Borewell Secha Karyakrama Scheme of Odisha government and have own bore-well in their fields.

The State government has a scheme under which an SC/ST BPL farmer can have their own deep borewell on making subsidised payment of Rs 9,000. However, many farmers in the district could not avail this scheme due to their low income.

The district administration took an initiative to identify such under-privileged farmers and requested MCL to sponsor them for the Deep Borewell Secha Karyakrama Scheme so that they can also prosper and contribute towards economic growth, it said.

Odisha State gets 5 ambulances as IOCL's CSR initiative

These ambulances would be used for the betterment and well being of the people of the State as they would provide services similar to the 108 Ambulance Service.

Reliance Industries tops CSR spending chart: GovtReliance Industries has emerged as the top company in terms of corporate social responsibility (CSR), having spent over Rs. 760 crore, followed by state-owned ONGC and IT giant Infosys, Parliament was informed

In a written reply to Lok Sabha, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said a total of 460 listed firms have so far disclosed spending Rs. 6,337.36 crore in 2014-15. This included 51 PSUs that spent Rs. 2,386.60 crore.

Reliance Industries shelled out Rs. 760.58 crore on CSR followed by ONGC (Rs. 495.23 crore), Infosys (Rs. 239.54 crore), TCS (Rs. 219 crore) and ITC (Rs. 214.06 crore).

Most of the funds (Rs.1,462.6 crore) were spent on education or vocational skills while Rs.1,421.66 crore were spent on eradicating hunger, poverty and healthcare.

Companies also allocated funds towards clean Ganga Fund, Swachh Bharat Kosh, promotion of sports, art and culture.State-wise, Maharashtra has topped the chart in terms of CSR spending. The state has 202 projects.

Other companies in the top 10 include NTPC (Rs 205.18 crore), NMDC (Rs 188.65 crore), Tata Steel (Rs 171.46 crore), Oil India (Rs 133.31 crore) and Wipro (Rs 132.70 crore). Other companies that managed in the top 20 are Indian Oil, BHEL, Mahindra & Mahindra, Larsen & Toubro, GAIL and Hindustan Zinc.

State Bank of India (SBI), Administrative Office, Visakhapatnam, donated wheel chairs and stretchers, to seven government hospitals, including the King George Hospital (KGH), as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activity.

General Manager (I & MA) Mr. Narendra Babu said that the bank's preferred areas under CSR activity are education and healthcare.

Deputy General Manager of Visakhapatnam Module Ajoy Kumar Pandit recalled that SBI had operated a mobile ATM after the Hudhud cyclone for the

convenience of the people. Ambulances, fans, water coolers and computers were donated to several charitable organisations, government schools and the Red Cross Society under the bank's CSR activities in the past.

Why CSR makes sense for start-upsAs Chennai battled the floods, Ola had boats in action to help people get from one end of the city to another. The subtle take on the state of infrastructure aside, it made for a decent feel good story. At the same time, start-ups were endearing themselves to the people of Chennai and the rest of the country.

Zomato donated food, Paytm and others offered free mobile phone recharges. At a time of natural disaster, help poured in. But for several of these companies, it wasn't an isolated call to action.

Start-ups have started to wake up to the concept ofcorporate social responsibility (CSR) recently and the marketing potential it brings. CSR is usually mandated on listed companies but some start-ups are doing it on their own. A report released by CRISIL said that smaller firms spent more on CSR than many large cap companies. While the spends can't be compared, experts said the need for CSR made sense for start-ups as well.

Sandeep Murthy, partner at Lightbox, an early stage venture capital firm based out of Mumbai, said that there are various lenses through which one can look at these activities. “For the customer, it is encouraging to know that the brand you are associating with has a cause as well... for the employee, they don't work just for the money, they see meaning to their jobs and for the company it is reach that traditional marketing activities couldn't achieve,” he said.

Aruna Reddy, head of the entrepreneurship cell at ISB, agrees with Murthy. She explained that for smaller, unlisted companies social activities meant establishing connections, which in turn helps the bottomline. “These companies will have no problem giving back so it creates an ecosystem, which helps them back in return by giving them business and generates goodwill,” she said.

Snapdeal, for example, has a microsite that has sunshine appended to the moniker. The site acts as a marketplace for charities. Each charity is listed as a seller, and in the case of Goonj, a social welfare Non-governmental Organisation (NGO), customers can donate anything from shawls to socks for those in need during winter. This is not new for the Delhi-based company. The summer in the country is shooting up year after year from February 2016 on words and the heat waves are already felt by the general public. Considering the age old custom of providing drinking water to the thirsty people on roads, Corporate houses can identify the most needed spots in and around their own offices and campuses, set up summer water camps for the benefit of general public. Such activity will surely bring good name for the Company. This can bring company staff to involve in the activity voluntarily.

Even after 68 years of Independence in the country, still lakhs of people do not have access to basic needs. We may have seen hundreds of poor people walk under hot sun on bare foot, but very rarely we bother about them. Though providing cheppal to such people is a small activity for us... this would undoubtedly provide grate solace to those walking with bare foot. Corporates can simply buy all sizes of cheppal and engage the volunteers to go around the city/ towns/ villages and simply distribute them to those walking bare foot on the roads.

Many places, we see lot of labour engaged in big projects related civil work, working under hot sun for their lively hood. The corporates can simply buy thousands of caps or towels and distribute them to those suffering due to lack of little money. We know how many people die during the summer season owing to heat wave.

This is to benefit, road side vendors in all the cities/ towns who live on meager earning by spending their 10 hrs time and most of the times, they expose their bodies to the hot sun. This is a novel idea of procuring umbrellas with company logo and distribute happily and lovingly distribute them to the most needy people during 4 months of summer.

We all know, the moment the kids at home get their holidays, each responsible parents search for a good summer course for their kids for their self improvement spending lots of money, time and resource on them. But, very frankly... who will take care of those

poor / slum children during the summer seasons. Corporates can set up summer camps near their offices/ factories and engage good volunteers/ experts to entertain, energize, enlighten, empathize with the most needy students of locality. This would be a wonderful investment from Company as they are our future.

Since, Hyundai Motors, Hyderabad joined hands with abhaya to serve the country with their CSR Funds... it is all about empathetic work done by the teams lead by Sri Vijaya Sarathy, Sri Venugopal, Sri G Rama Sastry, Sri Varma, Sri Shyam and many more Hyundaites. It is very heartening to know, how the well settled people of this country think of the needy people. The month of February 2016 brought many inspiring activities from Hyundai - Hyderabad. More than the employees of Hyundai, the Korean Management team working at Hyderabad office seems to be more concerned and connected to the community work in India. abhaya conveyed its gratitude and appreciation to Hyundai Management for their empathy.

Hyundai Motors, Hyderabad donated SANTRO car to abhaya Foundation for providing free residential driving classes for Rural Unemployed Youth in and around Hyderabad at its campus - abhaya home, Ibrahimpatnam. They also assured of giving employment for the good candidates who completed their classes.

The team is now working on ownership change for the car given by Hyundai and once the work is done, the team will be getting the abhaya - Hyundai Driving School registered for providing official driving classes.

Considering the guidance and inputs from abhaya, Hyundai Team motivated all their staff to be part of "Happy Move" through which all the employees were encouraged to share their household un used items, toys, books, tools, gadgets etc., for the benefit of those in need. Huge collection boxes has been set up at the front office entrance of Hyundai office at Hyderabad. Hundreds of Hyundaites happily participated in the drive and shared their things in the span of 30 days. The items so collected has been segregated and packed nicely. Later identified most needy people and distributed the items.

Visit to Balasadan: As many as 60 Hyundai Volunteers joined hands during a week end and spend their full day at Bala Sadan, the State Govt., run girls orphanage near Alwal, Secunderabad. Many gifts and items were pooled with their own resource. Hyundai supported their good work with their back end support. Its almost 8 hours time filled with love, care, share, empathy, entertainment, enlightenment with 60 kids. The activity was attended by the Founder of abhaya FOUNDATION adding his love too for them. A wonderful feast was given to all the inmates, staff and Hyundai volunteers. The Warden expressed her gratitude to abhaya & Hyundai for such a wonderful and memorable time spent by them. Further, it was an eye opener for many Hyundai volunteers about how much good work can be done if everyone join hands together.

Safe Move Initiative: Hyundai Team, without wasting time in the current year... connected to Cyberabad Traffic Police Dept., and started working with them to provide support for their needs while controlling traffic, reducing accidents, creating awareness on road safety etc., The Volunteers who desired to be part of such initiative has been grouped and briefed for the said initiative. The preliminary work in the said regard has been started with survey. Soon the real work will be started.

As a part of "Happy Move"-donations for poor, our HMIE CSR Team lead by Mr. Venugopal, Mr.Sastry, Mr. Shyam and myself along with the help of abhaya Founder CS Balachandra selected an orphanage to serve their basic needs. We took back lot of smiles with us and looking forward for the upcoming activities

I am Deviprasad from HMIE Moving Design Team. I am very happy to be a part of HMIE CSR Initiatives. It's always gives pleasure to serve the society. That day was so memorable as it started with a prayer followed by volunteers interaction with kids, games, fun activities, distribution of items, lunch and ended with taekwondo show by Balasadan girls. On Feb14th 2016 a team of 60 volunteers got a chance to spend some valuable time with 60 girl child's at Balasadan, Alwal Our special thanks to rajalakshmi and vikky for their continous support. Mr.Sai and Mr.Syed did a great job from backend for finishing this event smoothly. Blanket distribution: Blanket donation to poor! it was my first experience it was a very good experience, this event was started in the night we are total with a team of 10 members. Firstly we started from our campus and then went directly to L V Eye Prasad Hospital where we could find plenty of poor people who are sleeping on the foot path without any blanket shivering with cold so we HMIE CSR Team provided blanket to all the needy people who are sleeping on the foot path without disturbing there sleep, while distributing the blanket i felt very happy because i can see the happiness in each & every one of their faces when i was keeping the blanket on them.So at that time i felt in my mind we need to do something to the poor for sure through this kind of CSR activity and making inspire others also to join the hand and help the poor in bigger aspect then after distributing blankets to poor from L V Eye Prasad Hospital then we covered most of the places like Basawa Taraka Rama Rao, Nampally Railway station, Pedhama temple, Temple Bus stop near kutatpally and provided the remaining blankets to the needy people. When we are distributing blankets at Temple Bus Stop we were very lucky that we got the blessing of poor people who where sleeping on the footpath when we are providing blankets to them it was like blessings of god.Over all what i want to say is it was very good experience that everyone should feel it once in a time. I would thank each and every member of our team for there efforts and interest to support the poor people. abhaya HIL RT Govt. High School - Update

The Toilets blocks for Girls/ Boys, Flooring, Dining Hall and related civil works initiated with abhaya - HIL CSR funds is nearing to the completion. The work is in progress and expected to be dedicated for the benefit of school during the next one month. The students, teaching & Non Teaching staff are very happy about the good development work happening in their school. Head Master Sri Suresh, expressing their gratitude to HIL & abhaya for the support given.

We have conducted the grand tests for X Class from 4th to 10th February and the students are very happy to have their evening snacks from abhaya - HIL. We the teaching staff feeling very sure that this time, the students will surely bring in good results. Further, each teaching staff putting in their best effort to getting the students prepare for final exams which are starting from 21st March 2016.

The shed constructed for class rooms on Top floor of the School was inaugurated by Minister Sri Talasani Srinivas Yadav on 23rd February, which was constructed with the support of both Vasavi Club Ameerpet & Minister. The Minster appreciated the works which are going on with the support of HIL & abhaya Foundation. He promised for Water Facility with Bore-well, and to arrange Computers for Students and following are the extra-curricular Activities where many of our students actively participated:

Water Plant etc., are done by International Paper Ltd., Hyderabad as part of their CSR Activity. GSPV Trust Update: Bibi, old lady from Kogatam got 100% vision recovery after a week of eye surgery at Ravi Nethralaya, Proddaturu. This is one among many such stories of caring follow up surgeries undertaken by GSPV Trust in the village. GSPV Trust since starting of their health care initiatives successfully completed 25 eye surgeries for the most needed villagers

of Kogatam, Kadapa Dist. There are further 50 surgeries being taken up. A female nurse was appointed by the Trust to be available every day at the GSPV Trust Community Center at the Village to cater to the routine medical needs of the Village.

Mission 7 SummitsBy Bharath & Raji 7 Summits

We met Mr.Antony of MAC sports in Bangalore to discuss about 7 summits plan. He is

very much interested to support our 7 summits mission. After discussing with MAC

sports we shared our plan of summiting Everest this year. They wanted us to climb

Everest after completing all other summits.They are planning for Mount Kosciusko

(Australia's highest peak) in March-April 2016. Final discussion is going on for

Mount Kosciusko climb. This may get finalized by next week. I started taking

professional training for mountaineering at SAIE's Fitness Gym at Chakripuram. My

training includes cardio in the morning for 1.5 hr and strength and fitness training in

the evening for 1.5 hr. My trainers Nagaraj and Antony have 7 years of experience in

fitness field. - Raji

I travelled to Bengaluru, on receiving call from Anto Sir. We met over a discussion on

our way forward to Mission 7 Summits. We discussed many things and again Anto sir

asked little more information.

1. Full equipment pictures, which would be seen externally when climbing, where

we can have a sponsor logo.

2. Full details about the records in mountaineering for brother and sister from

Guinness book and limca book of records.

3. When pproached the companies for sponsorship with an option to keep their logo

flags on all the 7 summits, and Anto said they were positive so

we may have to make Kilimanjaro again.

4. abhaya and Mak sports logos will be commonly used in all

publicity material.

5. We discussed about our dress sizes for which he will

prepare some t-shirts with abhaya and Mak sports, which we

have to wear every time...

6. He asked to say sorry to Bala chandra sir, that he was late in

responding last time because of viral fever n pneumonia...

7. Anto sir will be further sharing some more points detailing

about the way forward, partnering terms and conditions. Once

everything is mutually agreed then Mac Sports will go for a

official announcement and start our Mission... We are hoping

All the inmates healthy and happy without any major issues during the Month of February. We are using medicines for Ravi for strength. Though Kameswara Rao got a mild paralysis stroke, he is doing well now after coming back from Rajya Lakshmi Hospital. Srikanth Natarajan of Sun KPO has taken complete responsibility of him since he was admitted him at abhaya Home couple of years back. I was also in Hospital for 4 days as there was a minor surgery for my arms. Dr. Sulapani and Dr. Himabindu taken good care of me, as if I am their child. Not only me, all the inmates and staff of abhaya home has been taken care by them. We really feel thankful to them for their hospitality and care.During the month Sri M Veeranjaneyulu (Rtd from Govt College as UDC) and Smt Uma Devi came to Home with an intention of serving the campus as care takers of service activities. Both of them are service minded and speak softly. He is taking care of administration, accounts and receiving calls for driving admissions. They can be good assets for abhaya Home of Happiness.

I got to know about abhaya Home of Happiness from my brother's son Ranga Rao. During a casual discussion, he shared that they are looking for an Administrator for Home in known circles. Then I expressed my wish to join that post.

I have worked as an UDC in a junior college and retired. With consent of Founder and Board trustees, I came to Home along with my wife Uma Devi on 2nd February. We are delighted to see the serene atmosphere. After knowing all the service activities going in this campus one by one, I came to know that I was told just a brief. The vision and mission of this foundation are very close to my heart.

I have attended a session by the founder at Telangana State Social Welfare Residential College at Ibrahimpatnam. Students of Inter first and second years participated in the session. From the start, the Founder CS Balachandra Sunku grabbed the attention of the students imparting various values about Family, Agriculture and Love for the Country. He motivated all the s t uden t s w i t h h i s electrifying talk. I completely enjoyed the session and feeling great to know him in my life.

Hyundai Motors, impressed upon the service activities of abhaya, came forward and donated a SANTRO car for abhaya – Hyundai Driving School. authorised training center of NACNow a days, lakhs of graduates are coming out every year, but the employment opportunities for those are not in matching number. There are two main reasons for this. One the curriculum don't have courses that increase employability and the other is number of jobs are far less than the outcome. To address the first problem, National Academy of Construction (NAC) came forward to offer skill development trades /courses to all the unemployed rural youth. NAC team visited abhaya Home of Happiness, during Mega Job Mela in the month of July 2015 and they were impressed by the ambience and atmosphere prevailing at abhaya Home

and further inspired by the Founder & Board Trustees for their selfless work. Since then, abhaya Teams and NAC Authorities had continuous and regular discussions on the matter. Now, NAC approved abhaya Home of Happiness as its official training center, where courses on electrical house wiring, Plumbing, Painting, Computer and Communication Skills can be conducted. All these courses are residential programs and free lodging and boarding will be provided for the students. Apart from

these, they are also planning for Stipend for the students, who completes the course successfully. When we advertise in Newspapers and local cable Television, many students showed interest in joining these courses.

While handing over the Approval Letter from NAC, Sri Bikshapathy, Director General appreciated the efforts of abhaya and its team. Further assured the best support possible in starting the classes and providing the training/ placements for rural unemployed youth.

Later, NAC for the first time entered in to MOU with abhaya for providing employability skills to unemployed youth at abhaya Home. abhaya Team thanking Sri Gangadhar, Smt Shanthi Sree, Sri Sathayanarayan, Sri Hameed, Sri Sarveswara Reddy and all the other officers of NAC & DRDA - EGMM for their wonderful support. - abhaya Team

The Founder while considering the advice of the Board Trustees on not to spend any further funds on creating infrastructure at Home, tried to propagate the need expecting someone wills surely make it.

Sri Sarathy & Sri Raj, Directors of Squares Interiors, Hyderabad visited abhaya Home during the month of January 2016 and while appreciated the selfless work happening at abhaya Home offered to set up all the needed partitions in admin block so that required class rooms, office cabin, compute class rooms at abhaya Admin Block. They accordingly deputed their men, material and machinery at the site. About 10 Workers completed the job very quickly and we thank both the promoters of Square Interiors for making it happen in the shortest span of time.

Further, NAC team advised abhaya team to install CC Cameras at the campus for their supervision and monitoring. It is yet another miracle which happened in the said regard. Chairman Sri Meda Narasimhulu and the Founder CS Balachandra Sunku trying to meet a gentleman by name Sri Rajanikanth who is dealing with CC Cameras in the State since 3 years. But, it was never materialized. Miraculously when Founder called him after receiving NAC advice, the response was immediate and the same person met the Founder and spent considerable time to understand what is all happening at abhaya. He very kindly drawn an action plan for installing the CC Cameras and deputed his team with all the needed men, material, machinery and resources. Further, Sri Rajanikanth provided flat 50% discount on the total cost. The installation of 8 CC Cameras with 16 Channel net work is completed in a very short span of 3 days. Right now abhaya Campus is equipped with Mineral Water Plan, Solar Power Plant, Wi-Fi and CC Camera surveillance. We thank all the divine SoulDears who stood besides abhaya creating miracles in every single task.

My Brother Ravi Teja is in danger. He is in critical condition due to lungs infection and admitted in Apollo Hospital. He kept in ICU and hospital charges for one day are Rs. 80,000. Estimation given for 10 days is about Rs10,00,000. Out of that, all my family and friends helped us to pay till Rs.1,50,000. Nukaraju has been suffering from psoriasis for 3 years. Present he is continuing the medicines as per the prescription given by Dr. Sacchidananda. Doctor told me that after four months we have to meet him in City hospital to know the patient condition along with recent medical test reports. I have to take appointment to meet Doctor in the month of March. Also should take recent medical test reports when we go there. At present, my father is well. He got confidence about his health. He want to do job & searching for that. But, because of his physical appearance he is not getting any job. So he has to become strong physically & mentally then only he can get a job. He wants to earn money at least for his medical expenses.

I would like to say thanks to Abhaya founder. Without abhaya support I could not take care of my father, he got a lot of pain before taking medicines. Afreen (An Air Hostess) I want to thanks abhaya Foundation for standing beside me and supporting me in doing my air hostess training course in Frankfinn institute, Hyderabad. I am doing this course from August 2015. The total fee of this course is 1,20,000/- of which our family was able to pay only 88,000/-. After knowing my family background Frankfinn gave ample amount of time for me to pay the fees, but we were unable to pay the said amount to them. They stopped allowing me to classes. I

had totally no idea of what is going to happen to my career.

My brother Irfan got the contact of Mr.Raghav from his friend Imran and soon Mr.Raghav called me and got to know about my situation. He arranged a meet with Mr. Siva Krishna and I went to meet him and told all my issues which are happening at my end. With my request, Raghav came to our institute in Himayath Nagar and spoke with our Admin and Manager and requested them to allow me to classes by giving a letter from abhaya foundation saying that abhaya is going to pay the remaining amount of 32000/-. abhaya Foundation have transferred the complete amount of 32000/- as promised in two days. I really thank abhaya foundation for the help they have done to me. Due to abhaya, I am now able to attend classes.

Right now I came to my home town Vijayawada for applying my passport, as this is very important to me. It is taking a long time for all the verifications and I will go ahead with my classes once I finish all this process.

Irfan (BBM)Firstly I want to thank to Abhaya for all the help and support which was given to me and my sister Afreen. Now coming to me, I am Irfan and studying my BBM 2nd year in Nalanda Degree College, Vijayawada. I lost my father when I was a kid and from then my mother took care of us. I am working for BPO job in first source and earn salary of 7500/- per month.

Initially I approached Raghav of abhaya foundation for help regarding my sister's fee, which they have paid within no time.

After few days, my college admin team called me for the fee of 21500/- which I need to pay for this year. They gave me a timeline and told me that they will not allow me for exams if I do not pay this fees. I was in extreme pressure and have contacted Raghav again. He then arranged a meet with Mr.Siva Krishna (abhaya secretary) in Hyderabad and I told all my problems with him. After hearing all my issues and family background, he promised me that abhaya will take care of the fee. He spoke to our college administration and requested them for paying the fee in two installments. Within 3-4 days, a sum of 15000 INR was paid to my college andafter that, I was allowed to write my practical exams. I have finished them successfully.

Another update is that our cashier madam have informed that I need to pay remaining amount before start of my final exams i.e., by 22nd of March. Sailatha (MBBS)Dear abhaya, I am doing well in my academics, and hope all abhayans are fine.I dedicated this entire month in focusing on my studies. Had many sleepless nights, had a planning, practicing & prepared exams. Though it was bit challenging to face one and half year syllabus, four lengthy subjects, finally accomplished by doing heart work. Thus appeared exams peacefully without any tension (expect few) and performed well. Few papers were bit difficult, but am sure of scoring good percent. Immediately after the exams I went to Kurnool, listening founders visit to Kurnool in order to accompany him. There was a gathering of all NGO'S of Kurnool in chemist bhavan. Founder has created awareness wonderfully, to all the members of different organizations. Everyone got astonished by listening all the things that are happening in Abhaya. Founder highlighted me from educare team as an example, and (mountaineer) brother Bharath.

Uncle briefed about everything related to service. Like how to serve? Purpose of doing service, etc., interpreting with excellent stories, with incidents that had happened right from his child hood onwards.

Everyone was amazed to know the astounding dedication, devotion, determination towards service & mainly to the communication that founder maintains through this modern technology which was missing in their organizations. Thus everyone felt happy and learnt how to sanctify organizations truly, purely by serving .thus I was happened to have a great rejoice over there in uplifting my thoughts. My practical exams are going to commence from 13th of this month and I am preparing for them.

G V Srikanth (Groups) I have completed my groups coaching and now I am in preparation. With help of abhaya foundation, I have purchased all required books according to TSPSC syllabus. I prefer academy books and my institute books. I am going to prepare for paper 1 and paper 4 with classroom notes and books. From 1st February, I have started my preparation and covering at least 3 subjects daily. Also revising old topics on regular basis.

this semester we having PEGA systems training which increases the employment opportunities. This is the important time to me to prove myself as the placements are going to start from July onwards. I have been to our village for applying birth certificate. I have attended Begumpet and Pamulaparthy village medical camps conducted Sri Satya Sai Seva Samithi. As the Final Exams are fast approaching to all the students in the country, Founder received scores of calls and invitations to address students at many places in the Telangana State. Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations of many district invited him to inspire and motivate the students who are appearing for Final Exams. Appreciating their selfless work, Founder always stood besides such organisations since long time. The 3rd Batch of Tailoring and Fashion Designing classes which are started on 1.12.2015 with the grace of Sri Sri Sri Bhagawan Satya Sai Baba are going well , regular classes and practical sessions are being conducted daily from 11 am to 1.30 pm about 34 beneficiaries are attending the training regularly . As per the current run rate this batch will be complete it's coaching by mid of April. We wish to high light an interesting thing which we have missed to mention in our earlier post that Mrs. Anuradha , one of the beneficiary is physically handicapped , she did not have left had which is amputed due to infection due to severe diabetes , we initially bit worried how she can stitch , but she is attending classes and with commitment she is stitching clothes like a normal person , we should appreciate her commitment and courage . We are optimistic that it would not only provide effective remedy to such social maladies but also lasts a salutary impact over the prevention of crime and maintenance of law and order. The response from the retired teachers has been so amazing that they termed this a fine opportunity to serve the society during their post retirement period. Added to the above, the management of Loyola college, Alwal have accepted to introduce their Psychology students to be one of the stakeholders for this programme which would enhance their professionalism. MNR Medical College, Sangareddy has agreed to hold 3-day training session to all stakeholders once in quarter.

You can only help someone so much. You can assist only so much. But, If you can make someone help themselves it's a true contribution to the mankind. There goes an old saying. It's better to teach someone how to fish rather than giving him a fish. If every person can endorse to that idea and encourage just one person to become self sufficient, the world would be a different place and a peaceful place.
