SÓLO EN DIOS Isaías nos habla hoy de Ciro, el rey de Persia, ungido del Señor. Dios llama a Ciro por su nombre y lo conduce a servir a los israelitas. En este pasaje oímos que es el Señor quien le da a Ciro su tulo, quien lo arma contra sus enemigos, y quien abre los portones, y no deja nada trancado ante él. IN GOD ALONE Isaiah speaks to us today of Cyrus, King of Persia, anointed by the Lord. God calls Cyrus by name and leads him in service to the Israelites. In this passage we hear that it is the Lord who gives Cyrus his tle, who arms him against his enemies, and who opens doors and unbars gates before him. And God does all of this so that the people will know that “I am the L ,” and that “there is none besides me” (Isaiah 45:6).

“Give to Caesar what belongs to him and give to God what belongs to God.”
What has Caesar a right to receive? Taxes, which are necessary for legi mate state expenses; nothing more as the state does not enjoy absolute power and dominion; only God does. The 2nd Va can Council document Gaudium et Spes teaches: As ordinary ci zens Chris ans have the obliga on of rendering to the state whatever material and per-sonal services are required for the common good. The state serves this good without personal gain, governs with great respect for the natural law, defends life from concep on, the family, religious liberty, and parents’ rights re-garding their children’s educa on. Keep praying for civic leaders to allow God’s grace to work within them to be-come noble leaders.
What must God be given? A endance at Sunday Mass, obedience to all his commandments, con nual prayer, per-sonal love, and commitment to each other. Since the beginning humanity’s greatest problem is the denial of God and subs tu ng Him with the worship of our own selves or anything worldly. This idolatrous a tude not only denies and offends God but also dehumanizes us.
St. Paul encourages us to trust in the Holy Spirit’s power and believe the teachings and proclaim with confidence: Without the Creator, the creature vanishes.” (Gaudium et spes, n. 36) “God created everything for man, but man in turn was created to serve and love God and to offer all crea on back to him.” Catechism #358.
Let us pray Jesus my Lord and God, restore my image to your image so I may be always ready for you to present me to Our Father. Together as your Church we desire to know, love, and contemplate only you moment to moment and day unto day. Holy Spirit inspire in us the depth of love that pervades our whole being and through us reaches out to everyone. Amen. Stay blessed in this Truth, teach it, and live with integrity!

Octubre 18 – 29 Domingo del Tiempo Ordinario Lee Isaías 45: 1,4-6, 1 Tesalonicenses 1:1-5b, Mateo 22:15-21
"Dale al César lo que le pertenece y da a Dios lo que pertenece a Dios."
¿Qué debe recibir César? Los Impuestos, que son necesarios para los gastos del Esta-do; nada más, ya que el estado no goza de poder y dominio absolutos; sólo Dios lo
ene. El documento del Concilio Va cano: Gaudium et Spes enseña: Como ciudada-nos comunes los cris anos enen la obligación de prestar al Estado cualquier mate-rial y servicios personales que se requieran para el bien común. El Estado sirve a este bien sin beneficio personal, gobierna con gran respeto por la ley natural, defiende la vida desde la concepción, la familia, la libertad religiosa y los derechos de los padres con respecto a la educación de sus hijos. Sigue orando para que los líderes cívicos
permitan que la gracia de Dios trabaje dentro de ellos para llegar a ser líderes nobles.
¿Qué se le debe dar a Dios? Asis r a Misa Dominical, obediencia a todos sus mandamientos, oración con nua, amor personal y compromiso el uno por el otro. Desde el principio, el mayor problema de la humanidad es la negación de Dios y sus tuirlo por la adoración a nosotros mismos o cualquier cosa mundana. Esta ac tud idólatra no sólo niega y ofende a Dios, sino que también nos deshumaniza. San Pablo nos anima a confiar en el poder del Espíritu Santo y a creer en las enseñanzas y a proclamar con confianza: Sin el Creador, la criatura desaparece." (Gaudium et spes, n. 36) "Dios creó todo para el hombre, y el a su vez fue creado para servir y amar a Dios y para ofrecerle toda la creación de vuelta a él." #358 del catecismo universal de la Iglesia.
Oremos: Jesús mi Señor y Dios, restaura mi imagen a tu imagen para que yo esté siempre listo cuando me presentes a Nuestro Padre. Nosotros como tu Iglesia, deseamos conocer, amar y contemplarte sólo a día a día. Sacrament of Marriage The Pastoral Guidelines for Marriage Prepara-tion are that a minimum of 7 months be set aside for personal preparation for marriage. Couples should refrain from setting a firm date until after they have called the office to discuss marriage plans. Weddings are celebrated Saturdays at 2pm. Quinceañeras Celebraciones son Sábados. Las quinceañeras tienen que haber recibido los sacramentos (por lo menos 1ra Comunión). Comuníquese con la ofi-cina para hacer una cita por lo menos 4 meses antes de la celebración.
