Saint Teresa of Avila is known for writing that
“patience obtains all things.” Perhaps Saint Teresa
was inspired by reading the letter of Saint James,
proclaimed today as the second reading in the lit-urgy. In the letter, he writes of a patience that joy-
fully awaits the coming Messiah, and is announced
by signs of the kingdom. Today, we are able to get
glimpses of the kingdom in the Scriptures. Jesus in-
vites us to define our faith commitment as we define
clearly who he is in our lives.
Our relationship with Jesus must be reflected
in how we care for others, through works of mercy
that become evident through our service. For this reason, we should live life filled with joy in the
good news of our Lord. We should ask ourselves:
Do we live in the Lord? How can we best express
our love of God in our ministry and beyond our
community?
*******************************************
Rev. Juan J. Sosa
PARISH NEWS
Mary’s Dream - Last night, Mary had a dream about the celebration of her Son’s birthday...everyone was p repa r ing f o r weeks, shopping, baking, decorating their homes, buying gifts. Everyone seemed to be so
happy, and excited about His upcoming birthday, but the strangest thing was, they didn’t have any gifts for her Son, some of them didn't even know who her Son was. Mary couldn’t understand why someone could put so much effort into the birthday of someone they didn't even know and who they never ever mentioned his name. She was so relieved when she realized that it was only a dream, because her Son was being ignored and it seemed like He was not part of His own birthday…. (Imagine how terrible for everyone if this dream was true) Merry Christmas everyone and remember…

Llamar a
Recuerden:
