OUTSIDE TEMP

In winter, the atrium is still 12 degrees warmer than the outside temperature without heating. The other spaces are preheated because of their adjancy to the atrium space.

Coolvent atrium results show that without taking into account solar gains, or thermal mass, our atrium is quite pleasant in the more moderate parts of summer.

Red Line extended as Dorchester Tunnel to South Station opened April 4, 1915

Streetcars levels were convertedto trackless trolleys, bus routes, or closed.

Hourse-drawn Cars were replaced with streetcars providing more effective methods of public transportation to pedestrains

The elevated Atlantic Avenue decline started with the Boston Molasses Disaster interrupting service for a month. The elevated railway proved to be an eyesore, and a source of unneccessary noise. Bustitution, and another interuption in 1928 made this transportation obsolete in 1938.

RED LINE

Red Line extended as Dorchester Tunnel to South Station opened April 4, 1915

Streetcars levels were convertedto trackless trolleys, bus routes, or closed.

Hourse-drawn Cars were replaced with streetcars providing more effective methods of public transportation to pedestrains

The elevated Atlantic Avenue decline started with the Boston Molasses Disaster interrupting service for a month. The elevated railway proved to be an eyesore, and a source of unneccessary noise. Bustitution, and another interuption in 1928 made this transportation obsolete in 1938.

Trackless trolley / Bus SILVER LINESilver Line South Station Bus Terminal opens December 17, 2004.
