Our Chapter — Psi Kappa The Psi Kappa Chapter, founded on May 2011, is a student-run professional organization at SFSU. Recognized as the premier developer of principled business leaders, we educate our members about the professional environment. Our members are comprised of a diverse and highly motivated group of individuals from a variety of majors.

Becoming a Partner Your company’s support for our organization is a great opportunity to connect with the San Francisco State University community. With over 240,000 members and more than 300 chapters around the world, Alpha Kappa Psi is the platform for young, like-minded individuals conspiring to create positive change in the world.

In 1904, Alpha Kappa Psi was founded on the principles of educating its members and the public to appreciate and demand higher ideals in business and to further the individual welfare of members during the college and beyond. Today the fraternity has grown to become the oldest and largest professional business fraternity in the world.

What We Do

The Psi Kappa Chapter’s commitment to educating its members and the SFSU campus takes many forms. Every year, we put on campus-wide professional forums, social exchanges, professional mixers, speaker events, and workshops to educate students about a variety of industries and career related issues. Our organization consists of students that originate from all majors.

How We Benefit You

Our chapter seeks to recruit new members into our fraternity every Fall and Spring semester. Over the span of two weeks, we hold recruitment events to invite future business leaders to join our fraternity. During our recruitment week, we teach potential members skills that are necessary in the professional world. Aside from teaching professional skills, Alpha Kappa Psi also enjoys getting to know potential members in a more casual setting; hence, we also have a themed social night throughout the week.

In order to market these events, we utilize various outlets of marketing inclusive of social media, print and digital marketing, and word-of mouth. As a sponsor, companies are able to reap the benefit of our effective marketing by being featured on our flyers, the Psi Kappa website, and Facebook page.
