The summer solstice, also known as midsummer, occurs when a planet's rotational axis, or geographical pole on either its Northern or its Southern Hemisphere is most greatly inclined toward the star that it orbits. On the summer solstice, Earth's maximum axial tilt toward the Sun is 23.44°. This happens twice each year, once in each hemisphere, when the Sun reaches its highest position in the sky as seen from the North or South Pole.

SACRAMENTS/SACRAMENTOS
BAPTISM—for infants and children through the 6th year of age. Contact Barbara Lowell (ext. 142) to set up an appointment. Parents please bring a copy of your child’s Birth Certificate in order to register your child for Baptism. We will take parishioners first, and if space is still available, we will welcome parents who are from another parish. All parents and godparents must attend Baptism classes.
Baptism—for children 7 years old and older. Parents fill out the form “Parent Request for Children’s Baptism” at CCE registration. You will receive word about when parent orientation will be held (usually in June and July). Children are expected to attend at least one year of CCE before preparing for Baptism, First Eucharist, and Confirmation, in the RCIA process.
Educacion Catolica Continua (CCE)—Primera Comunion para ninos. Es un programa para ninos desde el primer a quinto grados. Si hay muchas inscripciones, a veces se ofrecen clases en pre-k y kindergarten. Para estudiantes en el sexto grado y los mayores, hay programas de educacion religiosa que se llaman Edge y Life Teen. El programa para la preparacion de los sacramentos Reconciliacion y Eucaristia, es de un ciclo de dos anos.
First Reconciliation/First Eucharist—for children. Must have completed at least one year of CCE, be enrolled in CCE and attend Sacrament Prep classes.

Becoming Catholic—RCIA. New classes will start in August. If you have been baptized in another faith or baptized Catholic, we will need a copy of your Baptismal certificate.

As summer has approached, St. Anne’s Vacation Bible School is just around the corner. VBS will take place July 9 – July 12th from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. This is a children’s four day program that is full of fun, enrichment, and education. The program includes crafts, games, bible challenges, snacks and fun daily activities. We are still looking for volunteers and enrollment. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
