6 Thirty-First Sunday in Ordinary Time November 3, 2019

Questions of the Week

Question for Children: Jesus showed that he loved Zacchaeus by having supper with him. How does Jesus show his love for you?

Question for Youth: Jesus saw Zaccheaus as he was – mistakes and all. What masks, if any, do you hide behind so others won't see who you really are? Who do you trust to see your true self?

Question for Adults: Why do you suppose Jesus was so kind to Zacchaeus? What lesson do you draw from this reading regarding those who are considered "public sinners" today?

Monday, November 11, Respect Life Ministry will hold its monthly meeting at 7pm in the Parish Center alcove 10. We are always looking for new participation in this very life affirming ministry. There are many reasons to consider joining us from conception, to the value of every person even those with disabilities, and end of life issues. Please consider attending our meeting and seeing how you can be part of defending all life.

Social injustices stood in tension to the high ideals the Founders articulated. --"Living the Gospel of Life." 14

REFLECTION: The founding fathers of our nation were religious men, many of whom studied in seminaries and Bible schools. They spoke openly of Jesus, even in official government meetings. For decades now, our courts have been removing religion and morality from public life, and we see the price we have paid in tens of millions of aborted children.

PRAYER: Bless our nation, Lord, that it may always acknowledge You publicly as the foundation of our rights and freedom.

Respect
