WHERE ARE YOU ON YOUR FAITH

JOURNEY? RCIA is the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults. It the process by which adults enter full communion with our Church, through the sacraments of Initiation: Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist

(Communion). RCIA can help you along your faith journey if: •You want to join the Church, and have never been

baptized. •You have been baptized in another Christian faith

tradition, but want to join the Catholic Church.

•You have been baptized in the Catholic Church, but never had your First Communion or Confirmation.

If any of these describes your current situation and you seek full membership in the Catholic faith family, consider joining our Collaborative RCIA program. We meet weekly throughout the school year, with culmination in the celebration of the Rites of Initiation at the Easter Vigil in spring. RCIA begins in the autumn with a no-obligation period of exploration and discernment. If you think RCIA might be for you, contact either parish office by phone, or email [email protected]. We'd love to hear from you!

TURNING POINT AND SHADOWS SHELTERS

SUNDRIES/LINENS DRIVE,

WEEKEND OF SEPTEMBER 22 & 23

ST. PAUL'S CHURCH This Fall our collaborative community will support Turning Point Men's Shelter of Framingham and Shadows Women's Shelter of Ashland with a Sundries/Linens Drive. Turning Point serves approximately 38 adult men and Shadows 26 adult women. They need gently used twin flat (45) and fitted (45) sheets, pillowcases (10), blankets (30), throw pillows or bed pillows (15), bath towels (unlimited), some used hand umbrellas and backpacks. Over-supply will be kept for future use. Their other need is for the following new sundries:

We hope you will think of them on your next visit to the drugstore. Linen-group items may be dropped off before or after all Masses at St. Paul's the weekend of September 22 & 23 in the Parish Hall. The sundries may also be brought to the Parish Hall or left in or near the grocery bins at the back of the church the same weekend. Shadows Shelter also has a particular need for a used vacuum cleaner, as they must rely on a donation for that item. If you are willing to donate yours, please call the number below. If you have any questions please contact Anne Theriault, either at email [email protected] or text/call 508-333-1775. They DO NOT accept clothing or children's items.

FAMILY MASS MUSICIANS

Children and adults blend voice and instruments to praise the Lord and enrich our Sunday 9am Family Mass with upbeat, child-friendly, hand-clapping hymns. During the school year, we rehearse each Sunday morning at 8:00am in the music office on the lower level of the church to prepare for that day’s 9:00am Mass (no need to commit to every Sunday). We also prepare special liturgies for Grade Level Masses, Advent, Christmas, Lent, Palm Sunday, Easter, and Pentecost. All ages, grade 1 and older, are welcome! We are always seeking new singers and instrumentalists to join our ranks. For more information please contact Maria Wardwell at 781-237-2148 or [email protected]

Meet Father Donohoe-“I am with you; wherever you are, wherever you go, I am with you.”Father Stephen Donohoe embraced a vocation to serve as a priest of the Archdiocese of Boston. As a young man, he felt the rst signs of God’s presence in the Holy Eucharist; that force would become what he describes today as “the bedrock of his priesthood.”

After ordination, Father Donohoe became a military chaplain. During deployment, he provided for the spiritual needs of men and women facing combat. He never abandoned those entrusted to his care and stood by them at every point. Father Donohoe continues this steadfast ministry today in the parishes of the Archdiocese. He says “a great joy of ministry is to see the grace of God enlighten the lives of other people. If we bring people to the Lord, He’ll do everything.”

To help ensure priests like Father Donohoe are cared for as they live out their vocation, please support the special collection on September 15-16.

Please watch and pledge your supportto this very important work of the Church!
