Pastor’s Bulletin Letter In a meeting last week of the Liturgy Committee, we discussed and agreed that we return to our pre pandemic system of distributing holy communion. Parishioners will be requested to line up in the main aisle and return to their seat through the side aisle after receiving communion. Communion will be distributed in front and in the middle main aisle. A special Eucharistic minister will bring communion to those who, due to valid physical reason, cannot come up to receive. Also, there will be a special blessing for all those who are celebrating their birthdays, wedding anniversaries, any special occasions, etc., for the month. The once in a month special blessing will be given after the concluding prayer during all of our first weekend masses. Moreover, we deem it will be good to have a brief introduction by the Lector at all of our weekend masses that welcomes everyone, introduces the mass, and signals for all to stand and join in the singing of the entrance hymn. Finally, in accordance with diocesan policy, the office will accept more than 2 mass intentions, which is a restrictive policy, during our Saturday and Sunday masses. All these transitions will commence the first weekend of September.
En una reunión con el Comité de Liturgia de la semana pasada, discutimos y acordamos volver a nuestro sistema prepandémico de distribución de la Sagrada Comunión. Se pedirá a los feligreses que se alineen en el pasillo principal y regresen a sus asientos por el pasillo lateral después de recibir la Comunión. La Comunión se distribuirá al frente y en el pasillo medio principal. Un Ministro de la Eucaristía llevará la Comunión a aquellos que, por una condición física válida, no puedan venir a recibirla. Además, habrá una bendición especial para todos aquellos que estén celebrando sus cumpleaños, aniversarios de bodas, ocasiones especiales, etc., durante el mes. La bendición especial una vez al mes se dará después de la oración final durante todas nuestras Misas del primer fin de semana. Por otra parte, creemos que será bueno tener una breve introducción por parte del Lector en todas nuestras Misas del fin de semana, que dé la bienvenida a todos, introduzca la Misa e invite a todos que se pongan de pie y se unan a cantar el himno de entrada. Finalmente, de acuerdo con las normas diocesanas, la oficina aceptará más de 2 intenciones en las Misas, que es una norma restrictiva, durante nuestras Misas de Sábado y Domingo. Todas estas transiciones comenzarán el primer fin de semana de Septiembre.

The dates for the Salt and Light program have been changed, but Charity and Justice will remain the same. Sal y Luz is a basic level course that will last only three workshops, once per week for three consecutive Thursdays, which are: September 9, 16 and 23, 2021. Registration for Faith Formation Classes starts July 6th Hello Parish Families, We are so excited that you are seeking to deepen your faith for your child and your family. Faith formation can sound like a technical term, but in a single line we could say faith formation is simply: equipping people to live as disciples of Jesus. That is our hope at St. Margaret Mary’s. We hope to join you on your journey of becoming a dis-ciple of Jesus. This means we are excited to help you and your children: • Fall in love with Jesus. • Live as disciples of Jesus at home, at work, and in the community. • Develop an understanding of the Bible and the Catholic faith tradition. • Deepen your spiritual life and practices. • Engage in service and mission to the world. • Participate in the life and ministries of our faith community.
Covid Update Now that the Covid restrictions are easing, it is our plan to return to in-person learning for the fall of 2021. Rest assured, we know the importance of our loved ones, so every decision will have the safety of our families as our top priority.
Registration Starts July 6th The Faith Formation office is now open with limited summer hours. Registration for the 2021-2022 season starts July 6th. If you would like to fill out the registration form, please go to our website. Under the heading Faith Formation you will see the title online registra-tion. When you click the online registration title you will find more information about registering and you will find the link to our online registration form. The registration form will be the pink box as noted below. You can also sign up for faith formation classes by stopping in our faith for-mation office. Office hours are listed below for your convenience. Program Cost: Family with one child: $100 / per year Family with two or more children: $150 / per year Retreats and Extra Materials (Due to possible changes, money will be collected at a later date) For families making 1st communion: $25 workshop fee Confirmation year 1 retreat: $15 per student Confirmation year 2 & 3 retreat: $160 per student / per year
