VO This course consists of modules with review questions. Once you’ve completed the module and answered the review questions, the next module will automatically begin, or you may choose to come back and finish at a later time. To receive credit for QlikView training, you must complete all modules.

But don’t worry. You’ll do great! After you complete this training, you can refer to any of the modules as your resource on QlikView.

In this module, we’re going to discuss what QlikView is, who has access to it, and why it’s important for you to use QlikView.

First, QlikView is an online program that stores production data for every Agent and Agency Director and combines all this data into one report per Agency. Second, QlikView monitors Agency performance and shows where the Agency has room to improve.

Access to QlikView is limited. Home Office Management has access to every Agency. Directors have access to every Agency in their region. Agency Owners have access to their Agency only. Agency Directors have access to their team only via a PDF report. Agents have access to their individual production information only via a PDF report.

There are several reasons why you should take full advantage of the QlikView program. The first reason is simplicity! You can view all of your Agency production information in one report. You no longer have to download several reports and compare them to determine who is and isn’t meeting standards. You can see production data from Liberty National, United American, and/or Liberty National Medicare Supplement production all on one report.

QlikView contains dashboards with multiple features and filters, allowing users to customize their own reports.

Agency Owners can filter production information down to the Agent level, team level, or their overall Agency. Agency Owners can also see how their Agency is performing.

QlikView is a powerful tool to help manage your Agency. Agency Owners can identify Agents who need additional coaching on production, which can help Agency Owners increase their Agent retention rate. Agency Owners can also quickly identify star producers and have them help with training new Agents.

The QlikView minimum standards dashboard can help Agency Owners manage their Agents and Agency Directors by comparing production from week to week as well as 13 week and four week rolling averages.

QlikView is easy to use. To install QlikView, go to Agent Services and click on the ‘QlikView Reports’ link under Online Information. After you have installed QlikView you can continue to access the system through this link on Agent Services or you can save QlikView Access Point to your Favorites in your web browser. Saving QlikView Access Point to your Favorites let’s you go straight to QlikView without having to log into Agent Services.

All Agency Owners add the LNL prefix to their regular QlikView network sign on. For example, Agency 27 would type in LNL\BM027 for the User ID. The password is the same one you use to log in to your Agency Owner e-mail.

Agency Directors and Agents have access to production reports on TMKOnline. Agency Directors see their team’s production as well as their individual information. Agents see their individual production only. To access the production reports, Agency Directors and Agents log into TMKOnline using their TMKweb e-mail address and password, then click on the ‘QlikView Reporting’ link.

Agency Directors and Agents click on the date they want to view and the PDF version of the report appears.

In this module, we’re going to review how to navigate the Minimum Standards Dashboard. Let’s get started.

When you log in to the QlikView Access Point, you see several thumbnails listed on your screen. Let’s start with the Minimum Standards Dashboard.

Under the Minimum Standards tab, you can select a report week, choose filters, and view reports for the Agent, Agency Owner, and Agency Director level. Later on in the training we’ll go into more detail about the filters.

QlikView calculates Agent status based on the total number of days the Agents was or is contracted by using all existing contracts, current and old. If the total number of days, using all contracts, is greater than 365, the Agent is considered an RYA. If the total number of days is less than 365, then the Agent is considered an FYA.

However, if the Agent leaves Liberty National and is rehired within 180 days, the Agent is subject to the existing rule. If the Agent is rehired after 180 days, the Agent starts over as an FYA.

QlikView lists all production for a specific Agency. This includes terminated Agent activity. When an Agent is terminated, their activity still reflects on a Agency’s Minimum Standards report until it plays out over 13 weeks. When an Agent transfers to a new Agency, the old Agency still reflects the Agent’s activity up to the point of transfer. Then, the report lists the letter ‘M’ indicating ‘moved’ until the 13 weeks have played out.

Under the Minimum Standards – Summary tabs, the information you selected under the Minimum Standards tab will stay the same. However, you will only see the report for that level. For example, this screen is the Agency Director summary. So it’s only showing the Agency Director report.

There are two buttons you will use. The first button you can use is the undo button. The undo button removes the last filter you selected. The clear button removes all the filters you have selected. Every time you start a new search, click the clear button. If you don’t click the clear button, data from a previous search will be included in your new search.

The report week lists all the reports you can view. The final versions are available on Monday. Remember, Friday is the cut off. Any business written after Friday shows up on next week’s report. So the report for Friday, July 22nd is uploaded into the system Monday, July 25th.

There are several different filters you can use to customize your report. Select each filter by clicking on the arrow next to the filter name. Pull up the Current Selections by double-clicking the current selections tab. This tab shows what information you see with the current filters. Make sure to click Clear to reset the filters. Click the minimize button to bring the Filters tab back up.

You can also hold down the control key to select multiple items.

For example, to look at three Agents in a particular team, click on the down arrow above the Agent names. While holding down the control key, click on the names of the Agents you want to see.

There are several Filters available in the Minimum Standards Dashboard. However, Agency Owners can only use Company Source, Net Issued/Gross Submit, FYA/RYA, Active/Terminated, and Agent Transfers.

The final table in this section contains the Agent Information of those featured in your filters. If the name is on a white background, the person will be featured in the report. If the name is on a gray background, the person will not be featured in the report.

In this module, we’ll discuss using Excel and printing from QlikView using the Minimum Standards Dashboard. The process is the same for all Dashboards.

QlikView allows you to run and print reports without exporting data to another program. First, select the data you need through the filters. Next, click on the printer icon in the corner next to the XL icon. Then, click print.

Once you’ve filtered the production information, you can export the data to a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet. Click on the XL icon in the corner of the table. It will automatically open a spreadsheet in Excel with the data you’ve selected. Note the file will be named something assigned by QlikView. To rename the file in Excel, go to File, Save As. Then, change the file name to one you’ll remember for future reference.

For example, Mark can also use Excel to rearrange the format. For example, Mark has three teams. Mark sees three Agents in team two are falling behind. He removes the data for all other Agents. Mark exports the current week to Excel. Then, Mark adds the Agency Director’s data for that week. With this adjusted report, Mark can show the Agency Director how those three Agents are affecting her team.

You can use Excel for printing if you can’t print from the Dashboard. For example, Agency Owner Mark wants to print a report to discuss with his Agency Directors. Mark is working from home and wants to print at the office. Mark can export the report to Excel and save it to a folder on his desktop. Then, he can print from his laptop at the office or e-mail it to himself and print it.
