Composer NotesWe are all called to the ministry of evangelization by virtue of our baptism. Nowadays, manypeople in our society confuse evangelization with the “evangelism” we often see in our media.The end goal of evangelization is not “to convert,” but to simply share our faith and passion forChrist with other people. We can do this through our words, but it is best seen through our actionsand by simply doing what Christ commanded us to do. When we act out of Christian love andgenuine concern, other people become drawn to the Christian message while those who have leftthe church seek to return.
Our liturgies should foster this enthusiasm and instill in us the same gospel zeal that the apostlesexperienced when they were sent out into the world to proclaim the good news. “With One Voice”is a sending forth song that falls under this umbrella of Evangelization. It is contemporary in style,specifically written for the hymnal Spirit & Song.
The music ministers need to lead the assembly with great enthusiasm and energy. Sing andproclaim this song as if sharing your faith and love for God is an important aspect of your life.
