following the show. Until April 15th, a meeting night, the price will be $5 per attendee. After that date the price will be $7.50 per attendee. That is designed to help us make sure we have enough food, or at least come closer. The food will be platters of fruit, cheese and meats, and some Subway-like sandwiches. The facility will allow individual tabs to be run for any libations, does not take credit cards, and does have an ATM on the premises if you run out of money. We are able to stay until roughly 1:30 but the bar may close earlier due to State law. Ample parking and the hall is within a couple of miles from the High School. Please see either Larry Newth or Marshall Wagner about tickets. Don't wait until the last moment please. It will help the planning for food to have a paid-for count a week or so ahead of the event. We hope that our fine quartets will be there to regale us with their great music and possibly the chorus will have enough attendees to perform a song or two. Visit the Members Only Section of www.downeasters.org for the Music Library and other Downeasters Resources. Notes of Interest ………………………………………………………… Please send pictures and notes of your quartet’s outings, Shows that you have seen, Shows that you are looking forward to seeing, Quartet or Chorus news from around New England to: [email protected]

Music In The Air – Benefit Concert Just a reminder about the concert to benefit WYAR – 88.3 on which BACK BAY FOUR, EXCHANGE STREET, and PORT CITY SOUND are performing. In addition to their individual songs, they will be combining into a VLQ singing LOVE ME. They will also have opportunity to gladden the hearts of the audience before, at Intermission, and after the show. Also appearing will be the Greater Freeport Community Chorus, professional master banjoist Peter Mezoian, and the Royal River Chorus of Sweet Adelines, Int’l. A great time will be had by all. YARMOUTH HIGH SCHOOL – SUNDAY, APRIL 7 – 3:00 pm. You may order tickets from me at $10 each, with $2.50 returning to the Downeasters’ Angel Fund in appreciation of the support and participation by the quartets. Send checks to me: 417 Middle Rd. Falmouth, ME 04105. Please come out to enjoy an afternoon of “MUSIC IN THE AIR” – while supporting your quartets, the Chapter and WYAR. In harmony, win Wayne Newland
