PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE

Last Thursday and Friday we held the annual ‘ASTRA’

event where we showcase samples of student’s work,

cooking skills, various performances and

achievements. There were interactive displays where

families and students could get involved, and a variety

of Nepalese style curries and Vietnamese Spring Rolls,

made by our students, on sale. We hope you enjoy the

sample of photos of this event on the front cover. A

huge thank you to Ms Mortimer, the ASTRA committee

and students for their efforts in producing another

fantastic event. Congratulations to all who were

involved.

Thank you to the parents who participated in the ‘Tell

Them From Me’ survey. The results of the survey have

now been collated, we are currently analysing the data

and will advise you of the outcome once this has been

completed.

monitor student achievement and inform planning,

programming and assessment practice. Albury High

School students will complete the assessment in

normal class time from Monday 6 November to

Wednesday 8 November. Students are reminded that

they will need to bring headphones on their allocated

test day. If you have any questions or concerns, please

fell free to contact Miss Basquil on 6021 3488.

DRAMATIC MINDS THEATRE FESTIVAL

At the beginning of Term 3, 15 year 9 and 10 students

got together in the PAC. They spent an entire term

(and some of the holidays) creating and rehearsing

pieces of theatre that they could enter in the annual

Dramatic Minds Theatre Festival at HotHouse Theatre.

The festival looks at youth mental health, as well as

where to get help and how to support friends going

through a tough time.

THE RESILIENCE PROJECT - SAVE THE

DATE! Hugh van Cuylenburg will be running a parent

session as part of ‘The Resilience Project’ on

Tuesday 21 November from 7:00 - 8:30pm in the

school hall. Staff will be trained and students in

Years 7 to 11 will be attending workshops in regards

to the project during the same week.

More details in regards to the program are available

on the Resilience Project website:
