New Here?

Welcome to St. Anne Catholic Church! We’re happy you’re here! We are a warm,

vibrant, Roman Catholic Church located in Columbus, Georgia. As part of

the Diocese of Savannah, we presently have over 2,000 families representing a

rich diversity of ethnic, cultural and economic backgrounds.

Learn more online about our parish, including how to register, information about

educational programs for adults and children, sacraments, as well as

opportunities to get involved: www.stannecsg.com/newcomers.

Lent is a time when God wants to purify us. It’s a time when He tells us, just as He

told Moses and the Israelites, that He wants us to have no false gods before Him

(Exodus 20:3). To that end, Lent is a perfect time for us to come to the Lord and ask

Him to burn away our sins through the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Lent is also the

perfect time for us to invite the fire of the Holy Spirit into our hearts so that we—

everyday people—can be a source of blessing to the people we meet.

Let’s make it a point this Lent to ask Jesus to send His fire to purify our hearts and

empower our lives. Let’s ask Him to set us on fire for Him and His Church!

“Come, Holy Spirit, and enkindle in me the fire of Your love!”

Spotlight on Stewardship Feb. 28, 2016 Stewardship Reflection ”He said to the gardener, ‘For three years now I have

come in search of fruit on this fig tree but have found

none.’” (Luke 13:7)

Are you like the barren fig tree? How will you respond

when God asks you what you have done with all the

gifts He has given you? Remember, not only are we

called to be generous, we are called to develop and

nurture our gifts and return with increase.

Council of Catholic Women

The Council of Catholic Women (CCW) is an

organization who, through its members, nurtures the

Church and the community through the sharing of

spiritual and material gifts. Meeting on the 3rd

Visitation Hall (from September to May), this group is

open to all Catholic women who are registered

parishioners and who are willing to work and support

the organization’s goal to provide support for the

three commissions within our council: Spirituality,

Leadership, and Service. Learn more about the

Columbus deanery CCW by visiting
