Brent & Cindy Hinton on the birth of a granddaughter, Mary Brixten Hinton, born April 27, 2018. The proud parents are Brandt & Kate Hinton and great grandparents are Wayne & Carolyn Wilson and Riley & Pat Hinton. Dear Church Family, Today we celebrate our annual Great Day of Praise and Giving. You will see envelopes in the pew racks that you can use to make a sacrificial love offering. Note the options your special gift can be used for: Building Fund Debt; 2018 Budget or Unrestricted (Finance Committee will apply where most needed). Once the existing Building Fund Debt is removed, our Clear Vision 2020 gifts will go to raise our next goal of $150,000 seed money to begin Phase 3 of our Master Plan to renew our church campus buildings. Please note the time during the service when you and your family can come to the Chest of Joash with your offering. It will be open prior to and after the service as well. Please give generously as the Lord has blessed you. Today we also acknowledge Bro. Joe Davis’ 20th year of service as our Church Administrator and his retirement. In I Corinthians 4:2 we are taught - Moreover it is required in stewards that a man be found faithful. Joe has indeed been a faithful and excellent steward for our church. His servant spirit, love for missions and worship, as well as his gift of administration has put him on a high level few will know. Joe and Kathy are moving to Katy, Texas, this week to be closer to family. At the end of this service we will express our appreciation to our dear friends. Last Sunday, we welcomed Bruce Lyons Jr. into our church membership as we witnessed his public profession of faith. We look forward to his baptism. We rejoice in the Lord’s blessing as He adds to His church. We were also blessed by Pastor Chris’s message to our graduates. There was a word for all of us – God is behind us, with us and for us. Students - sign-up for Summer Camp today! Next Sunday, I will begin a new series of messages – Great Prayers: Praying for one another. We will look at the great prayers of the Bible and apply them in our personal prayer life as we pray for one another in our families, our church and our world. It is my hope that you raise your level of prayer and deepen your love for God and one another through this study of God’s Word. I am praying for you. People of the Word…People of Prayer!
