CAPITAL CITY POLKA DANCERS ASSOCIATION 31 Kensington Dr. Camp Hill, PA. 17011 Delivering Polka Excellence To The Polka Community+++ JANUARY 2015 +++ Meeting News: President Shirley Weiss opened the December 4, 2014 General Meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance. There were 22 members present. The November 6, 2014 meeting minutes were read by Recording Secretary Polly Bush. The minutes were approved as read. Our appreciation to Helen Shirk for preparing dessert and Luther Wolfersberger for helping with the coffee and Ken Faust for organizing the 50/50 tickets and to the members who set up and took down the tables and chairs. The following positions need to be filled for the coming year. The Nominating Committee is looking for a few good men and women. Members currently serving in these capacities will be happy to explain the job to you. They have a wealth of knowledge and information. President Vice President Treasurer Financial Secretary Board Member Board Member Chairperson for Dance Lessons (1 time per year) Chairperson for the Third Friday Night Club—for our special needs friends —Twice a year—Spring and Christmas Dances Membership Report: Wayne Bowers states that we currently have 223 members. A sympathy card was sent to Doris Blouin and the club has sent a donation of $25.00 to the Zembo Shrine in memory of her husband, Les Blouin. A sympathy card was sent to Tom Glowacki (loss of brother-in-law, Leo Switila.) Tables looked very festive with green tablecloths and red poinsettias.

Meeting News:

President Shirley Weiss opened the December 4, 2014 General Meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance. There were 22

members present.

For six years you kept us informed and entertained and we salute you. For the December dance, ticket sponsors were Bob and Naomi Stahl and the hosts were Neal & Helen Shirk, Ron & Merry Kurtz, and Wally & Diane Vernitsky Four bands will be sponsored in 2015 thanks to the generosity of club members. A club member donated $250 toward the November dance fee for the Walt Groller Orchestra which was sincerely appreciated.

CONTAINERS ONLY) TO THE LOCAL FOOD BANK.

Friends can attend dance for free in January!

This is the dance when you can invite your friends who may have an interest in Polka but have never attended a CCPDA dance. The intent is to welcome

new members. Just bring your friends and the coupon below.

Here is how it works: Each CCPDA member can bring one friend to our January dance. Friends must be with the CCPDA member upon presentation of this

coupon. Two CCPDA family members may sponsor two non-member friends with one coupon.

The visitor must have never attended a CCPDA dance before. Please tell your CCPDA Ticket Seller that you are bringing a guest.
