BAUER MEDIA

Bauer Media is a multimedia company which is based in Germany and functions in more than

10 countries worldwide. It was founded in 1875. Bauer Media Company produces magazines with both

mainstream and niche audiences. Few of the mainstream magazines are Kerrang!, Empire and Q. Some of the

examples for the niche magazines are those of with topics of fishing and sports like golf which may be an

interest for an older audience.

The target audience of this company are basically everyone who exists in status quo. Music

magazines such as Kerrang! and Q target teenagers and older audiences while men’s magazines such as

FHM targets the mature male audiences.

Since brand images are constructed through time with advertisements and promotional

campaigns, Bauer Media is a very reliable company with more 19 million consumers per week. This shows that

the company is very famous due to the very diverse target audience it has. It also captures people’s attention

with either similar or different interests.

The company owns both magazine and radio media. It also owns Australia’s largest magazine

publisher, ACP Magazines.

IPC MEDIA

IPC Media is a consumer magazine and digital publisher based in the UK which was founded

in the 1950’s.

The magazines they create are both mainstream and niche with the genre of music Gardening,

photography, sports, women, television and more. Examples of these are NME, which is one of the leading

music magazines in the UK, Women’s Weekly, one of the most popular women magazine aimed for older

women.

The target audience are over 26 million of UK residents with almost 2/3 of the UK women and

42% male audiences.

IPC Media is owned by Time Warner Company, which is an American-based multinational

media corporation.

Immediate Media Company is a recent combined publishing houses founded

in the late 2011.

The magazines they produced is a mixture of both mainstream and niche

audiences. Music magazines such as Top of the Pops is a very mainstream magazine

aimed at teenagers and a food channel Good Food is also mainstream.

The company has over 60+ consumer titles with nationwide spread of 8.2

million magazines per annum and a worldwide spread of 27 million digital publications per

month.

Immediate Media Company produces Radio Times, Top Gear, BBC Good

Food, Gardeners' World and a host of other much-loved consumer magazine brands linked

to BBC programming.

DEVELOPMENT HELL LTD.

Development Hell Limited, a media company, publishes magazines. The

company, through its subsidiary, operates a social network clubbing website. It

also offers consulting services. The company was incorporated in 2001 and is

based in London, the United Kingdom.

the biggest clubbing sites in the United Kingdom.
