Matter 3 Written Statement – KTI Energy It is not the intention of my company to attend in person the examination in public of the Northants Minerals & Waste Local Plan. We are, however, entitled to confirm for the attention of the Inspector that the Introduction of NPPW 2014 calls for waste management to make a positive contribution to the development of sustainable communities. I do not read anywhere in the Plan of Northants CC having consulted with local authorities on where a new community is planned to which a renewable CHP scheme, fired by SRF/RDF and woodchip, may be installed as original equipment to supply that community with low carbon electricity and heat. Our suggestion on record is that the new community planned for North Northamptonshire, centred on Corby, might be an appropriate starting off point for the County Council to consider. The attached Report reflects on ownership of a community-led renewable CHP scheme and how it might be financed. Dr Bill Temple-Pediani Managing Director KTI Energy Limited
