In the quarter:• DER finalised 68 per cent of investigations* (604 out of 894 in total) within the 60 working day target.• There were 974 new matters recorded.• The average time taken to finalise matters was five calendar days.* Matters investigated can include but are not limited to: complaints/incidents relating to emissions and discharges, controlled waste transportation, clearing of native vegetation, illegal

dumping as well as issues identified by Departmental officers through the course of their duties. Q1, Q2 and Q3 16-17: These figures have been updated using a revised methodology to more accurately capture matters being investigated by the Department.
