St Maximillian Kolbe was born in Poland in a small town called Zdunska Wola. When he was 12, he saw Mary in a vision holding 2 crowns, one was white representing purity and the other was red for martyrdom. When Mary asked Maximillian to choose between the two destines, he told Mary he wanted both. After his encounter with Mary, he became a Franciscan. Later, he founded the Immaculata Movement devoted to Mary and helped the friers publish pamphlets, books, newspapers, and magazines about their views on religion and Mother Mary. Maximillian also created the immaculate prayer and went for missions around the world including Japan where he founded a monastery. When Maximilian returned to Poland he was imprisoned by the Nazis. While in the camp ten men were chosen to die because a prisoner escaped, and it was a form of punishment. Maximilian offered himself in place for a young husband and father. He was the last of ten to die after enduring two weeks of starvation, thirst, and neglect. However, through the pain and suffering he experienced, he offered it up to Mary and prayed every day. The guards that watched him said he never complained and always looked cheerful when praying and talking to God. Maximilian died August 14th, which is also the vigil of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. St Maximillian Kolbe devoted his life for Mary and teaches us to always sacrifice and help others when they need it most. :) RIDDLES :) SAINT PATRON Saint Maximillian Kolbe Why is a computer so smart? Mary - our heavenly Mom

How come we can name the Mother of God our Mom? Do we have the right to do this? Are we entitled to do this? Mary was so amazing, that she agreed to be Mother of Jesus, but what about us? Are we Mary’s kids too?

Yes, truly we are, because it is God’s holy will. When Jesus was hanging on the cross He looked down and saw His mother, Mary, standing with His Disciple John. How can we ever express our gratitude to God for giving us His Mom to be our Mother too?
