YouTube was founded by Chad Hurley, Steve Chen and Jawed Karim, who were all early employees of PayPal.

The domain name "YouTube.com" was activated on February 15, 2005,and the website was developed over the subsequent months.

Now Google purchases YouTube for $1.65 billion

Google+ is a social networking and identity service, operated by Google Inc.

The service launched on June 28, 2011 in an invite-only "field testing" phase.

On July 14, 2011, Google announced that Google+ had reached 10 million users just two weeks after it was launched in a "limited" trial phase.

The origins of Facebook have been in dispute since the very week a 19-year-old Mark Zuckerberg launched the site as a Harvard sophomore on February 4, 2004.

Now the site has become one of the biggest web sites in the world, visited by 500 million people a month.
