FAITH FORMATION

INFORMATION

Faith Formation Classes are held on

Sundays from 8:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. at

the Parish Center. The classes run from

September through May.

A new registration form MUST be completed for all

present students as well as new students to attend our

program. Parents must bring the following documents

when registering:

- Baptism Certificate;

- Birth Certificate if child/ren is not baptized;

- If a child attended Religious Education classes at

another parish a transfer letter is required.

be interested in volunteering for the Faith Formation

Introduction to the Liturgy of the Word

A new day has dawned in each reading today. The Is-

raelites have finally reached the Promised Land and

can celebrate the Passover in their new home. Saint

Paul tells us that in Christ, we are a new creation. The

prodigal son is welcomed home as someone who has

been dead and is now alive again. As we listen to the

readings today, let us imagine we are there as each new

day dawns.

Who do I need to reconcile with? What can I do over

the next three weeks to reconcile with them?

Introducción a la Liturgia de la Palabra

Cada lectura de hoy refleja la alborada de un Nuevo

día. Los israelitas llegan por fin a la tierra prometida y

pueden celebrar la Pascua en su Nuevo hogar. San

Pablo nos dice que somos una nueva creación en

Cristo. El hijo pródigo es recibido en su hogar como

alguien que había muerto y ahora ha vuelto a vida. Al

escuchar las lecturas de hoy, imaginémonos allí pre-

sents en cada una de esas alboradas.

¿Con quiénes necisito reconciliarme? Qué debo hacer

durante las próximas tres semanas para reconciliarme

con esas personas?

RECONCILIATION MONDAY

April 15th On the Monday of Holy Week, April 15th, As-

cension Parish will celebrate the annual dioce-

san observance of “Reconciliation Monday.”

Priests will be available in the Church to hear confes-

sions between the hours of: 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. and

7:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m.

Are you interested in assisting our Parish Baptism

Team. We are looking for men and women who would

like to assist in preparing parents and godparents dur-

ing the preparation course. They assist the clergy in

answering questions at the “Pre-Baptism Meetings.”

Wednesday of the month in English and on the third

Wednesday of the month in Spanish.
