If any club fails to identify and begin work by this month end, the district will transfer the funds to some other club for a second project. Hyderabad Nizamabad Diamond - 75 Membership Discrepancies There are a few discrepancies between the membership rosters of clubs with the international and the club records. Clubs may take the help of the district office for resolving such disputes. PRINTED MATTER / BOOK POST See Postal Tariff Card Item 7-C, “Book Packets Containing Printed Books” For Every 100 Grams or Fraction Rs. 1.00 MONEY MATTERS Group Insurance Our district has paid Rs. 4,75,047/- towards group personal accident insurance with Bajaj Allianz General Insurance Co. Only 3,375 lions in clubs who cleared their dues have been included. 141 lions above 65 years have also been included at a marginally higher premium. The policy (OG – 11- 1810 – 9902 – 00000007) has come into force on December 5, 2010. Each person is covered for Rs. 6, 00, 000/- and the total sum insured is 2, 02, 50, 00, 000/- The following clubs have not been included due to non payment of dues: 1) Basar Gnana Saraswathi, 2) Kotagir, 3) Chevella, 4) Madnoor, 5) Gajwel Sneha, 6) Nizamabad Nissi, 7) Hyderabad Green City, 8) Prashanthnagar, 9) Hyderabad Rajendranagar, 10) Jogipet, 11) Hyderabad Residency, 12) Zaheeraba Disha 13) Narayankhed, 14) Hyderabd Sanathnagar Team, 15) Pitlam, 16) Nizamabd Seva. Arrangements can be made with the insurance company to cover the members of these clubs as well from the date of clearing the district and international dues. Melvin Jones Fellowships During this lionistic, seven lions became Melvin Jones Fellows by contributing US$ 1000 to LCIF and have availed incentives of Rs 5,000 from our District Governor Lion Dr G Babu Rao and another Rs 5,000/- from the district: 1) Bharath Kumar Gampa, 2) Ghttamaneni Sandhya Rani, 3) Bandi Ramesh, 4) Chalasani Visweswara Rao, 5) Bhushan Kodali, 6) V T Raj Kumar, 7) K Sambasiva Rao. Incentives are available to a few more lions on a first-come-first-served basis. Dollar Exchange Rate Dollar rate of exchange for the month of December 2010 has been fixed at Rs. 46.17 to US $1.00. Please calculate your international payments and contributions to LCIF accordingly. Directory Advertisement Charges A few payments relating to advertisement charges in the District Directory and in Lionism - In & Out are still due. Please make the payments without any further delay. APJ Abdul KalamNow the district has gained the momentum of administrativeand service activities. Once again we are marching towardsthe creation of another world record. Congratulations to all whocontributed and supported in gaining the remarkable growthof membership and extension of new clubs.

Membership Growth & ExtensionWe started lionistic year 2010-2011 with 3,175 members with 96clubs in July 2010. We have now reached 4,282 members with126 clubs – so far we added 1353 new members and dropped246 members and achieved a net membership growth of 1107members with 30 new clubs extension. We recognize the effortsof Hyderabad Serilingampally, Hyderabad Greater Anand andMedak Manjeera Lions Clubs for their massive contribution tothis miraculous growth.

International Director’s Visit.International Director Lion VV Krishna Reddy visited our districtfor two days on Nov 21 & 22nd. He visited KV Reddy Lions EyeHospital, Bodhan, Medak Lions Eye Hospital and Vakiti LaxmaReddy Memorial Lions Eye Hospital, Narsapur , VT Takur LionsEye Hospital, Kamareddy. He inaugurated a Bus Shelter atMirzapur X Roads, constructed by Lions Club of ChinnaShankarampet. He also participated in the distribution offurniture to Govt School, Mandapur. He was the Chief Guest atthe inauguration of seven new clubs at Hyderabad andNizamabad. He was greatly impressed with the activities in thedistrict.

International Medals PresentedInternational President’s Medal was presented to Lion L UmaRani of Lions Club of Hyderabad Jubilee Hills and LeadershipMedal was presented to Lion Komaravelli Shekar of Lions Clubof Siddipet at the hands of International Director Lion V V KrishnaReddy for their contribution to lionism during 2009-2010.

International President’s PINs PresentedInternational President’s lapel pins were presented to 10 lionswho worked for Extension and Membership Growth. Heartycongratulations to Lion Allam Pandu Ranga Rao, Lion AshokGoud, Lion D Laxminarayana, Lion Vijay Anand, Lion KSambasiva Rao, Lion G Narayana , Lion T Swarnalatha , Lion KJanardhan Reddy, Lion Suneeta Anand, Lion Vipin Dhoot, Lion

Lions QuestLion M Seetha Rao, District Chairperson, organized a Lions QuestTeacher Training Workshop at Lions Bhavan. 37 teachers fromas many schools participated in the programme. HyderabadEast Lions Club and our District 324C6 jointly hosted theprogramme. Lion Mohan Doss from District 324C2 was thefaculty. District Governor Lion Dr Babu Rao inaugurated theworkshop. Lion m nagaRAJU, Lion A Amarnath Rao, Lion KGovind Raj interacted with the participating teachers. LionSanjay Chowdhary and Koshy Thomas of Hyderabad Cosmooffered active support to the Workshop.

ISAAME ForumISAAME Forum was held from 2nd to 5th December, 2010 at Dubai.37 members from our district attended the Forum. DistrictGovernor Lion Dr G Babu Rao headed the team.

All India Lions MeetAll India Lions Meet will be held from 10th – 12th January, 2011 atLeonia Holistic Resorts, Shameerpet, Hyderabad. District 324C3is hosting the meet and 324C6, C2 and C5 are co–hosting themeet. The registration for the programme is Rs 1800/- per head.For details contact Lion m nagaRAJU, District Cabinet Treasurer.

Strides WalkLions Club of Hyderabad Cosmo organized a Strides Walk forDiabetes Awareness on November 14, World Diabetes Day.There was an informative presentation by an eminentdiabetologist followed by a walk aimed at promoting betterawareness and care. District Governor Lion Dr Babu Rao wasthe chief guest at the programme. Lion S K Rammohan wasinstrumental in organizing the event.

Nominations for Mahila UtsavThe District is planning a massive event on March 6, 2010 tohonor some eminent women from different walks of life. Theprogramme will be chaired by District Chairperson LionSudha Ramesh. Clubs are requested to identify andnominate women who have made remarkable contributionto society in any field of human interest.

Peace Poster Contest WinnerThere has been only one entry received from HyderabadCosmo Lions Club for the Peace Poster Contest this year.The entry has been forwarded to the Multiple Council.

3rd District Cabinet MeetingThe third Cabinet Meeting of our district will be held on 9th

January, 2011 at 11 am at Medak. Lions Club of MedakManjeera will host lunch after the meeting. Detailed circularis being sent to the cabinet members.
