Dear Sponsor, The summer of 2013 ended with a bang at Lucknow Ontario's 5th annual Music in the Fields country music festival. Headlined by Big & Rich on the Saturday, and Blue Rodeo on Friday, this 100%-nonprofit concert and camping experience hosted by the Lucknow Kinsmen Club, continues to put the town of Lucknow and South Western Ontario on the map. On Friday, August 22nd and Saturday, August 23rd, our hometown pride will again be on display as Lucknow will welcome upwards of 6000 music lovers to join in our celebration of live, chart-topping country music. Music in the Fields is a 100% non-profit event, where all proceeds are invested in community betterment initiatives and donated in support of the Kinsmen's national charity The Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Success of this event is attributed to our generous sponsors who offer their financial support. 2013 Festival Highlights:

Another year has come and gone and by all accounts, Lucknow's 2013 Music in the Fields was a resounding success! The festival welcomed record crowds with more than 3800 in attendance for Blue Rodeo, The Heartbroken and James Cameron Band on Friday night, and over 5600 people on Saturday for Big & Rich, Dean Brody, Dallas Smith, Small Town Pistols, Autumn Hill and the River Junction Band.

Continuing from last year's success, the Sepoy Saloon side stage added an impressive presence to the venue. Hot new artists the The Reklaws, The Walters Twins and Amy Rose blew away country enthusiast during main stage transitions. Each of these performers won their sets by participating in either The Sepoy Saloon Showdown or the BX93 Battle of the Bands competitions. The three victorious bands were voted onto the side stage by loyal online fans and they did not disappoint, definitely leaving the festival having added to their fan base!

New to the festival marketing strategy this year was the addition of the Music in the Fields 'Street Team' internship, where individuals interested in event planning, promotions and marking were given the opportunity to attend a number of events across Ontario throughout the summer to promote our event. This energetic group of promoters helped to expand our reach and spread the word about what a great weekend we're hosting in Lucknow.

Other festival highlights included the absolutely beautiful, warm weather that shone in Lucknow over the festival weekend, as well as the devotion of community volunteers who showed an exceptional spirit and hospitality to festival guests.

2013 Revenue Allocations:

All festival revenue is put back into the local community, by way of targeted donations by the Lucknow Kinsmen Club. Donations thus have been offered to the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and The Wingham & District Hospital Foundation for aid in the purchase of an operating room table and stretchers. The remaining proceeds will be contributed to a variety of local initiatives, including arts & music education programs, local school programs, hospital projects and improving the recreation/tourism facilities within Lucknow.
