Financial Audit

Establishment of the approval of an accredited financial inspector for pre-financial analysis, auditing and certification of expenditures in application of R&D support relative to Industry

The above-mentioned application shall shorten and accelerate the process of TÜBİTAK’s R&D support to the industry.

The Application concerning the pre-payment (advance) of financial grant in application of R&D support relative to Industry is foreseen for end of 2005.

The audit of “administrations with general and complementary budget” will be performed by the auditors of the Ministry of Finance

One of the European Commission’s application for fullfilling the objective of

increasing candidate countries’ participation was to open a call for the creation of

« Excellence Centers » in the three countries. 138 projects had been submitted

from Turkey.

27 sucessfull projects had been selected for Turkey.

THe European Commission has granted 11 projects with a total amount of

8,12 million €.

TÜBİTAK’s Support

The TÜBİTAK-BAYG (Scientists’ Education Group) decided to

allocate a grant for studying a graduation programme or a phd in

Turkey to two persons from each of the 11 organisations

supported by the EU funds (22 persons in total)

TÜBİTAK decided to fund the other 16 project proposals

which have succeeded the Euopean Commission’s evaluation but

which have not been retained due to the lack of funds (5.6

million € in total).
