NAIAD FOR MARINE RESCUE BY

Yamba Welding & Engineering Pty Ltd launched the new 9.5m Naiad Rescue Vessel for Marine Rescue NSW Brunswick BR30 in October 2012.

MR Wooli back on deck after vandalism in Coffs Harbour and was only out of action for 2 weeks.

The workshop currently has 2 more Naiad’s under construction for MR Lake Macquarie and MR Trial Bay. MR Trial Bay is going to be fitted with Foam collar with expected launching in May’2013 and

MR Lake Macquarie is fitted with Air Filled collar with expected launching in July’2013.

Both of the vessels are powered by latest generation twin 250hp Suzuki Outboard motors and is fully equipped for search and rescue duties with three radio communication systems, radar, AIS, thermal imaging camera for night vision, radio direction finder to home in on EPIRB signals, the latest navigation systems and a solar power system to ensure the four batteries are always fully charged to power the electronic equipment.
