R.C.I.A. The RCIA team and participants wish our Faith Community a Happy and Blessed New Year. Our classes for this year

resume on Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2012. As we begin our new

calendar year, the RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of

Adults) process will begin to study the Sacraments. The first Sacraments we will study are the Sacraments of Initia-

tion: Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist. Both are a be-

ginning; the beginning of a New Year and the beginning of a New Life in Christ. Then we continue with the Sacra-

ments of Vocation: Marriage and Holy Orders, and the Sac-

raments of Healing: Reconciliation and the Anointing of the Sick. We ask that our St. Luke Community continue to re-

member the participants in your prayers as they continue

their faith journey. If you are interested in learning more

about the RCIA process, please call the Faith Formation Office at 433-2777 ext. 138 or Martin Schott at 521-9079.

BEYOND CANA MARRIAGE ENRICHMENT RETREAT

— JANUARY 27-29, 2012 —

You love your spouse very much. There is no one you would rather spend time with, but over the past few years that time together has been filled with children, job pressures, holiday frenzy and just daily living. Consider this: a quiet weekend in the beautiful Texas Hill Country where you can spend quality time alone with your spouse and revitalize your marriage. You will learn to use effective communication tools in a spiritual, non-threatening setting.

Our Parish will hold a Beyond Cana Marriage Enrichment Retreat, January 27-29, in Boerne, TX.

For more information, or to register for the retreat, please contact Cherie or Frank Mueller at 862-5521 (hers) or 601-2818 (his), or email [email protected]. The Parish Office will also have brochures and registration forms.

LIFE TEEN “LIFE NIGHTS” RETURN JAN. 8!

Parents, below is the topic that your youth will be discussing at the next Life Night. We would ask that you discuss these questions with your teens. Questions?

Contact Liz Ortiz at 433-2777 ext. 119 or attend any of the Life Nights. Parents are always welcome.

1/8 LIFE NIGHT TOPIC: FULL-FILLED This night will end our semester on the Sacraments and focus on practical applications that

the seven Sacraments can have in our lives. The Sacraments are more than just seven events, but opportunities of grace that transform our lives. Each

baptized Christian has Sacramental grace in their souls and it is our call to share that grace with others. This grace is an undeserved gift that is not a one-time

event, but a gift that should overflow in our lives. Take time to talk to your teen about the semester and how they can live out the Sacraments.

Final Note: As you close your 2011 income tax year

and looking for a last minute tax deduction please remember a donation to your favorite St. Luke ministry would be greatly appreciated.
