Handel’s Messiah Sing-Along: Part 2 &3 St. Michael’s Church hosted its second Sing-Along of Handel’s Messiah on Friday, June 16. Nearly 100 voices resoundingly sang the Alleluia chorus and Parts 2 and 3 of Handel’s composition in praise of God. Music Director, Paul Bergin, coordinated this uplifting and spiritual event as professional musicians led the congregation in song. Refresh-ments were served in the Lower Church following the Sing-Along. Please see the accompanying photos. Thank you to Paul Bergin and all our talented musicians, and to everyone who came out to participate. Thank you also to St. Michael’s Hospitality Ministry for your efforts.

Faith to Move Mountains is a $75 million Diocesan-wide endowment campaign that will secure the resources needed to enable our Church to flourish for genera ons to come. Unlike the Annual Catholic Appeal, which addresses the day-to-day opera ng expenses of the Diocese, this campaign will establish endowments to respond to cri cal long-term needs and serve as a permanent and self-sustaining source of financial stability for the Diocese. Once established, the funds will con nue to grow through the reinvestment of interest and earnings, as well as addi onal gi s. Through this, the endowments will pro-vide support for the following needs in perpetuity:

In addi on, 30% of the campaign funds that we raise toward our parish goal will be di-rected back to our parish for our local parish needs. We will use our share of funds for various projects including upgrade of the Lower Church, parking lot repairs, repairs of the mosaic and stained glass windows in the Upper Church, defibrillator equipment and train-ing, restroom renova ons, I/T and security equipment purchases, and other uses. Thank you for your con nued prayers and support.

PATHWAY TO HEAL Divorced, Widowed, and Separated Group

History: the past is the reason for the present. We are living the present, and we have to hope for the future! How did life get out of control? What went wrong? Where did the chaos come from? The dreams have vanished. Why? "The Plan" was altered. I own my history, the treasured memories and yes, the broken promises like broken bubbles. Is there a bright future and new dream to look forward to? I learned something else: there was a Plan, and I was being led. The more I trusted my instincts, what I wanted, and what felt right, the more I felt that I was being led. Is this new plan, a new and better plan filled with new dreams and new hopes? You must have hope and believe God knows where your next chapter is taking you; it is where you need to be. The Pathway to Heal group came out of my own chaos and with lots of guidance from those who cared. So many people have come through its doors. A place to learn, a place to share - this is a place to discuss our lives’ new adventures and new challenges. From my chaos so much good has come: people have joined and found bits of healing, small pieces one piece at a time, together they make some sense of the loss of a loved one or the vanished dreams of a marriage. I have learned from the past and I have high hopes for the future. Come join us the sec-ond and fourth Thursdays of the month.

The next meeting is Thursday, July 6 at 7:00PM St. Michael's Living Room, 6 West End Court, West End, NJ.

Please Join Us, All Are Welcomed.
