A SUPPLEMENTARY VOLUME TO WICMORE ON EVIDENCE Professor John H. Wigmore has prepared a supplement to his

unrivaled treatise on Evidence, in which all the recent decisions of the courts and the statutes are cited and treated in such a manner that anyone referring to the new volume can see at a glance everything which has been added to the law.

THE NEW MATTER. The judicial modifications, overruling of existing doctrines and new phases of the subject are presented with painstaking thoroughness. The author has commented on and cited 4,000 cases decided and reported since January I, 1904 (covering more than 6,00o points or citations), and has also cited nearly nine hundred statutes or code sections.

THE PLAN of the supplemental volume includes the restatement of modified doctrines, and new topics decided only in very recent cases. But the adding of later decisions and statutes to supplement those in the main treatises takes up a large pait of the work.

IN ARRANGEMENT the Supplement follows the main treatise. THE INDEX to supplementary matter has been combined with a

new and very full General Index. In this Encyclopaedia Index to the entire work, different type has been used for the references to the supplementary matter, so that it can readily be seen whether the Supple- ment, or main treatise, or both should be referred to.
