NEXT YOUNG COUPLES With the Christmas Season drawing to a close and me returned from a time of retreat, I need to schedule a Young Couples gathering for January. Although I usually consult a bit to find what works best, I am forced this month to choose the only available weekend: January 24, Memorial of St. Francis de Sales, at 7 PM, at the Parish Rectory of St. Joseph’s in Bertha. To get our discussion started, we will look at all the potential ways to start the Mass (there’s actually more options than just a hymn from the hymnal) and then consider which is actually most appropri- ate in parishes today. Because we have gone a month without holding a gathering, I would appreciate an RSVP to my email address [email protected] . Also, I would appreciate a young couple to volunteer to provide a bit of a meal to sustain us as we debate. Sincerely in Christ, Fr.
