I do want to extend thanks to Fr Harry and the St Pius X Staff for continuing to provide our parish with spiritual guidance and additional opportunities to learn and worship. e Music Ministry provided an awesome virtual concert (kudos to brother knights Abe and Isaac Marcor) and the “Pius Talk!” series has been enjoyable. e interview with songwriter Jaime Cortez (Rain Down) is great. If you have not enjoyed these yet, go to stpiusxtucson.org or look up “St Pius X Media Ministry” on youtube. e fact that our parish has a media ministry is amazing and a blessing. Our council activities…. We will be completing our “Leave No Neighbor/Knight Behind” initiative. Some of you have received voice mails from our callers (please return their calls). If you have not received a phone call from one of your brother knights please contact Peter Karculias (520)722-7093/ [email protected] to verify/update your contact informa- tion. We have an approved budget with a list of proposed activities. Check out the members only section of our council website. We had a blood drive on September 6th. We hosted the Red Cross blood mobile and had 19 donors. We are continuing with our online meetings and online Rosary sessions. Reminder: Our meetings now start at 7:00PM on ursdays. October is traditionally Respect Life Month. A novena starting October 4th provides an opportunity to join together in prayer for Life (see page 4)*. e Arizona Rosary Celebration will be October 17th at 10:00AM in Tucson. We are honoring Mary, Our Lady Undoer of Knots. It will be an online event (see page 5)*. e beatification of venerable Fr Michael J McGivney will be on October 31st (see page 6). Early in the pandemic Supreme published a “Prayer for Protection in Time of Pandemic”. We pray this prayer at the conclusion of each rosary meeting. If you do not already have a copy of the prayer, our council website homepage has a link towards the bottom where you may get a copy. Please pray it. Our Council OnlineWe have established Webex as the online tool of choice for the council. We have been using it for the last several months. If you have not joined us online, please do. You can join using a telephone, tablet, smart phone or computer. If your device has video capability you can choose whether to share video or not. Each Thursday at 1PM Dan Pinda hosts a Webex test session where you can practice logging into Webex, troubleshoot your system or test any new equipment you may have acquired. Both of these meetings are open to the public and you may share the login credentials with anyone you think would benefit from participating.
Our Business meetings are closed sessions (not open to the public). Therefore these credentials are provided by an email sent to the knight. If you do not have email access please contact one of the officers for the login information. Please do not share the login credentials with anyone except current knights.

Our beloved founder, Venerable Father Michael J. McGivney, will be beatified on October 31, 2020 at Hartford’s Cathedral of St. Joseph.
The Beatification Mass will be broadcast live on EWTN and other Catholic networks.

God, our Father, protector of the poor and defender of the widow and orphan, you called your priest, Father Michael J. McGivney, to be an apostle of Christian family life and to lead the young to the generous service of their neighbor. Through the example of his life and virtue may we follow your Son, Jesus Christ, more closely, fulfilling his commandment of charity and building up his Body which is the Church.
Let the inspiration of your servant prompt us to greater confidence in your love so that we may continue his work of caring for the needy and the outcast.
