Saint Patrick Parish is a Christian community of disciples in the Roman Catholic tradition, called by Jesus, united in Eucharistic worship and growing in faith, hope and love. Nourished through the sacraments and strengthened by God’s transforming love, we are empowered to know the gospel message and to bear witness to others. As Christian stewards, we are thankful for God’s many gifts and we commit ourselves to share our time, talent and treasure in Christ-like service within our parish com-munity and beyond. We seek God’s blessing and guidance to be faithful to this mission.
MISSION STATEMENT
THE SACRAMENT OF RECONCILIATION: Confessions are heard on Sat-urday afternoon from 4:30 to 5:15 PM and anytime upon reasonable request. THE SACRAMENT OF BAPTISM: Second & fourth Sundays at 1:00 PM. Expectant parents may contact the parish office to arrange for the baptism seminar class on the third Thursday of every month. The class is held in the Religious Education Building, Room 7 at 7:30 PM. Adults are baptized and confirmed at the Easter Vigil after completing the stages of the Rite of Christian Initiation. RCIA – Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults: A process for those who wish to enter the Catholic Faith, or for present Catholic individuals who after being baptized need to receive the sacraments of Holy Eucharist and Confirmation. For more information, please call our Parish Office.
THE SACRAMENT OF MATRIMONY: Since Catholic marriage requires a time of preparation, arrangements should begin at least six months before the proposed date of the wedding to allow for the Marriage Preparation Program and Natural Family Planning (NFP).
PASTORAL CARE OF THE SICK: If you are planning to enter the hospital for surgery, experiencing a prolonged or serious illness, or home-bound, call the parish office to arrange for the sacraments of recon-ciliation, communion and anointing at home. Communal anointing of the sick is celebrated at Mass during the Advent and Lenten seasons.
WELCOME TO NEW PARISHIONERS: The Saint Patrick faith community warmly welcomes you! Please introduce yourself to the celebrant of the mass you are attending as you leave the church so that, on behalf of the entire community, you may be welcomed. You can register at the parish office and receive any information needed from the office receptionist.

FIFTH SUNDAY OF LENT First Reading: Jeremiah 31:31-34 The Lord comforted his people, who were exiled to Babylon, by telling them of the new covenant he planned to make with them. The Lord declared he would write his law upon their hearts, and that he would forgive their evil and forget the sins they had committed in the past. Second Reading: Hebrews 5:7-9 Though God could have heeded his Son’s prayers and spared him suffering, Jesus accepted his Fathers will. Through his suffering, he learned obedience and became the source of eternal salvation for all people. Gospel: John 12:20-33 Jesus was afraid of the suffering he knew he must face. Yet he explained just as a grain of wheat must die to be harvested, he had to face his hour of suffering to glorify his Father’s name. Jesus explained that once he was lifted from earth, he could draw all people to himself, lifting them to eternal life.
