2016/2017 Baptism Preparation Class Dates Before a child can be baptized, parents and godparents must attend a baptism preparation class. To register for the next scheduled class, please come into the office and sign up. Class registration will close one (1) week prior to the class dates below. Fees for class attendance are $30 for both parents and $10 for each godparent. The class completion certificate is good for 2 years. English Classes: Saturday 2016: 12/03/2016 2017: 02/04/2017; 04/01/2017; 06/03/2017; 08/05/2017, 10/07/2017, 12/02/2017 Classes are held in Room 16 (The old Church) and start at 8:45 a.m. In order to register your infant/child for baptism, an application package, available in the office or on-line, has to be completed and the complete package, with all required documents, has to be returned to the Ursula at least one week prior the baptism date. Incomplete application packages will not be accepted.

Para inscribirse en la próxima clase programada, por favor venga a la oficina y regístrese. Registración de clases cerrará una (1) semana antes de las fechas de clases indicadas abajo. Las tarifas para asistir a clase es de $30 para ambos padres y $10 por cada padrino. El

CHILDREN’S LITURGY OF THE WORD (C.L.O.W.) An opportunity for children to hear the Gospel message at their own level.

All children from Kindergarten to Sixth grade are invited. C.L.O.W. leaders are needed.

If you are interested in this ministry simply accompany the children on Sunday at the 9:00 or 11:00 mass to see how easy it is to teach.

All that is needed is a love of children and the Gospel.

A LETTER FROM THE FINANCE COUNCIL CHAIR

November 26, 2016 Dear Parishioners of St. Frances, This annual report of the fiscal status of St. Frances X Cabrini Church provides us the opportunity to celebrate our joint accomplishments in our parish community. This last year we had the distinction of completing a very successful Diocesan Development Fund (DDF) campaign that raised more than $400,000 including the DDF assessment. This provided us the opportunity of meeting important maintenance projects on the parish campus and to further pay down our mortgage obligation on the church. Major projects were completed to repair the parking lot, the roofs of Cabrini Hall & the rectory, and minor repairs to the classroom portables. Projects are currently underway that will repair the skylight on the parish hall, significantly im-prove the lighting in the parking lot and address other minor repairs to campus facilities. At this writing, the probate on the Majestic Estate has been completed and the proceeds from that gift have significantly reduced the mortgage obligation on the new church. All pro-ceeds from the Majestic Estate have gone to reduce the mort-gage principal and leave a balance as of this report of $1,967,570 remaining. Much of this effort is due to the sup-port of many parish members that assisted in maximizing the extent of this gift. Our finances are on the right track, the parish has a balanced budget, but we also have significant needs. While the Diocese provided a break from interest payments we are back to the 2% rate this year and the Libor rate next year. We need to address that final debt and plan for future projects to meet the needs of our parish and our ministries. We have a beautiful church and loving and faithful commu-nity and have expanded our ministries to meet the needs of our parishioners in this year of Mercy. May we continue to bring that spirit forward in the next year as we continue to improve our financial status and provide for the religious needs of all those we serve. Love and peace,

These financial schedules present a summary of the key financial results of our parish for the fiscal year July 2015 - June 2016. This was the seventh full fiscal year that we have been in our new church. Fortunately total income increased by $732,210 (58.2%) from the last fiscal year and was over budget by $845,377 (73.9%). This was mainly due to $750,000 income received from the Don Majestic Estate. Otherwise, our income would have slightly been less compared to last fiscal year by $17,790 (1.4%). We continue to thank you for your generosity and support. The good news is that, we were able to further decrease our overall expenses by $235,636 (16.5%) from last fiscal year and was slightly over budget by $47,307 (4.1%). Overall our income statement was in the positive by $798,070, a 570%

improvement from last fiscal year.

Mortgage Update

The loan balance as of June 30, 2016 was $ 3,942,971. We had no interest charge from the Diocese for the fiscal year ending July 2015-June 2016. However, normally our interest rate is adjusted quarterly at 2.5% above the LIBOR rate.
