St. Simon the Apostle The Third Sunday in Ordinary Time January 26, 2020

No Paper Recycling Please note that we are NOT COLLECTING PAPER TO RECYCLE and have not received any kick back for many years. We had kept the paper recycle on our property to help reduce our trash cost for the school/parish as we go through a lot of paper at school. We thank all of you who through the years collected and brought paper here to be recycled when the student council did get monies for the recycling. We stopped receiving any kick back when recycling was made available curb side at homes.

Magazines/Books/Coupons Also a reminder we DO NOT collect paperback books, magazines or coupons anymore. We have tried to spread the word for quite some time, but are still finding these dropped off in the Simon Room.

Third Sunday in Ordinary Time In this Sunday’s Gospel, we find that Jesus “… went around all of Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom, and curing every disease and illness among the people.” This month, through your gifts, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul was able to proclaim the good news of the kingdom to the poor by assisting our struggling neighbors and their families with food, utilities and rent bills; providing a helping hand up at a difficult time.

St. Vincent De Paul Society:

Please pray for the repose of the soul of John Hernandez, brother and brother-in-law of Anita (Roy) Albright. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed rest in peace.
