The custom of praying the sta ons during Lent will be modified this year due to the pandemic. We are offering a wonderful opportunity to spend me with Jesus Christ in Adora on and to pray and reflect
quietly with the Sta ons of the Cross in the language of your choice. When: Every Friday during Lent from 6:30 to
7:30pm all are welcome to attend a Holy Hour in church.
Par cipants may use their Internet on their cell phone for the Sta ons or use the guide that we will provide. The guide will be published in the bulle n and you can use it every me you come to worship. Therefore, we recommend that you save your bulle-
n and bring it every Friday of Lent so that we can pray the seasons together and experience the gi of the Passion of Jesus for us.

Reflections from the Priests of St. Cecilia Read John 12: 20-33
Jesus is condemned to death on a cross. He surrendered this decision into the Father’s hands; to be sacrificed and given over to death. With each step toward Golgotha, he enters more deeply into our experience of sin and suffering. Jesus falls three mes. The weight is unbearable as he lies powerless in the dirt. "Remember, you are dust and to dust you will return," as he tastes the profound truth of these words. The third fall is devasta ng. Summoning any remaining strength from by his inner trust in God he gets back up and moves forward and upward. Jesus meets His Blessed Mother. All his life she taught him the meaning of, "Behold, the
handmaid of the Lord." Looking into each other's eyes they know love and trust in the Father bind them together. Simon is asked to help. They mock his poverty in not being able to carry the cross alone. He experiences the de-pendency others have, simply to survive. Veronica wipes Jesus' face. A face whipped, beaten, and vulgarly spat on is wiped with the most compassionate touch. Her veil shows the image of his face – a gi for us to see forever. Jesus is stripped, nailed, and dies. Roman torture includes the indignity to be crucified naked and He experiences the ul mate vulnerability of no security or protec on. As they stare at him, his eyes turn to heaven. The cross is li ed, the weight of his body hangs on nails. Every me he struggles to pull himself up to breathe, his ability to stay alive slips away. His last breath: "Father, into your hands I commend my spirit." Taken down from the cross and laid in a tomb. What tender mourning! Jesus' lifeless body lies in his mother's arms. He has truly died, a profound sacrifice, complete. The huge stone sealing the tomb’s entrance is death’s finality. Who would have imagined this tomb would soon be empty? That Jesus would show himself alive to his disciples, or that they would recognize him in the breaking of bread? Oh, that our hearts might burn within us, as we realize how he had to suffer and die to enter into his glory for us!

Jesús es condenado a muerte en una cruz. Entregó esta decisión en manos del Padre; ser sacrificado y entregado a la muerte. Con cada paso hacia el Gólgota entra más profundamente en nuestra experiencia de pecado y sufrimiento. Jesús cae tres veces. El peso es insoportable, ya que se encuentra impotente en la erra. "Recuerda, eres polvo y al polvo te vas a volver", ya que sabe la profunda verdad de estas palabras. El tercer caída es devastador. Sacrament of Marriage The Pastoral Guidelines for Marriage Preparation are that a minimum of 7 months be set aside for personal preparation for marriage. Couples should refrain from setting a firm date until after they have called the office to discuss marriage plans. Weddings are celebrated Saturdays at 2pm.
