On Thursday, 4th September Mrs Guy ran a Cartoon
Workshop in the School Library. Twenty four of our ar-
tistic students attended. Some of the students had attend-
ed the workshop last year while others were taking part
for the first time. Everyone had a great time learning the
fundamentals of cartooning and some of the more expe-
rienced artists took on the “Challenge” these challenge
drawings are on display in the office foyer. All the partic-
ipants did a great job as you can see from the pictures
below.
PrinciPal’s Message
Dear Parents,
Term 3 has been a busy, successful and productive term for our school. Our students have excelled in a range of endeavors
from the sporting field as District and Regional Athletics Champions to Debating Champions and outstanding academic suc-
cesses. My thanks to the students for their commitment, the staff for their sound teaching and the school community for their
ongoing support of the school.
DISCO
The Spring Disco is a highlight of the school year for our students and last Friday night, the P&C with the assistance of a num-
ber of parents conducted the disco for our students. By all accounts, it was an extremely successful event, ‘walking the red car-
pet’ was a very special touch and our students enjoyed the evening immensely. Many thanks to Mr and Mrs Davis for all your
hard work organizing this great event.
SURVEY & FOCUS GROUP
Currently the school is undertaking a process of evaluation and plan development. We are currently seeking input into this pro-
cess from the school community through surveys and focus groups. Our first survey is on line and open until the end of this
week, It is accessible via the school app. My thanks to the members of the community who have already responded, your opin-
ion is important to us and it will influence our plans for the school. We are intending to hold a series of focus groups on Tues-
day 14th October commencing at 9.00am. If you would like to be involved, and we are looking for as many parents as we can,
would you please contact the Administration Office so that we can book your place in this important event.
REPORT CARD REVIEW
With the ongoing introduction of a new syllabuses the school staff is reviewing its student report card . At the October P&C
Meeting the document will be discussed and input sought. The plan is that the updated report card format will be in use at the
end of this semester.

The “Tiaras, Ties and Teddybears” Glamour Pyjama Disco that was held last Friday evening was a
resounding success. All the children had a great time walking down the red carpet and having their photo taken as
well as disco dancing. Thank you to Mr and Mrs Davis for all their efforts in organising the Disco, all the parents
who volunteered to help supervise, feed children and clean up afterwards and of course our wonderful teachers who
again gave up their time to stay back and help make the night so enjoyable for everyone.

Once there were two cute mice. Their names were Pippy and Dippy. One day Sally opened
their gate. When Sam came back they were gone. Mum said oh no! So mum and Sam
looked for Pippy and Dippy. But Pippy and Dippy were having fun at the park. They were
going on the slide and having a picnic.
Mum and Sam were sad. The next morning mum and Sam were still looking for Pippy and
dippy.
Pippy and Dippy thought they should go back home. But the problem was they couldn’t
drive but they remembered they could run. So they ran and ran back home.
The mice were hiding behind the fridge. Then mum found Pippy and Dippy.
When Sally was back from school mum was cross because Sally had left the door open.
Then mum said to both of them to look after their pets carefully. When dad came from work he bought two mice,
but mum said that we found our mice. The children said where should we put these ones? You can have one dad
and mum can have one too. Mum and dad named those mice Eunji and Jack and they lived happily ever after.
