Questions of the Week

Question for Children: Jesus teaches us that work is good for us. What kind of work do you do during the week? How does it help you?

Question for Youth: Jesus tells us that even though bad things will happen, we are safe in God. When have you felt the safety of God’s life in your own life?

Question for Adults: Paul's words to the Thessalonians are tough: if you want to eat, you must work! How does this translate into our society today? How do you reconcile this with Jesus' command to love and feed the poor?

Monday, November 11, Respect Life Ministry will hold its monthly meeting at 7pm in the Parish Center alcove 10. We are always looking for new participation in this very life affirming ministry. There are many reasons to consider joining us from conception, to the value of every person even those with disabilities, and end of life issues. Please consider attending our meeting and seeing how you can be part of defending all life. The Lord said to me: "Son of man...confront them with their detestable practices, for...blood is on their hands...they even sacrificed their children, whom they bore." --Ezek 23:36-37

Reflection: Then Pro-Life movement did not begin with Roe v. Wade. It began the first time a human being extended his hand to help another. It continues as Old Testament prophets preached against child sacrifice, and as Christians in the Roman Empire rescued abandoned infants. It continues today and it will be victorious just as surely as Christ is Risen!

Prayer: Keep us standing, Lord, in the great tradition of life!
